Dodge Poised to Bring Back the V-8 Charger: The Muscle Revival Fans Have Been Waiting For

A year after Dodge sent shockwaves through the muscle car world with the debut of its all-electric Charger coupe, the brand is doubling down on electric performance this time with more doors and more attitude. The all-new 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack Sedan is officially on the way, and it’s not holding back.

Four Doors, Full Power

While muscle car purists might have initially scoffed at an electrified Charger, Dodge’s strategy is now crystal clear: electrification doesn’t mean losing muscle, it means gaining more of it. The four-door Charger sedan retains the potent dual-motor setup seen in the coupe, pumping out a staggering 670 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain, combined with its 100.5-kilowatt-hour battery, delivers ferocious acceleration 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, matching the now-retired Hellcat Redeye in straight-line speed.

Versatile Performance, Dodge Style

Drivers can dial in their ideal experience with a full suite of performance modes: Sport, Track, Drag, Custom, and fan-favorites like Drift Mode and the playful Donut Mode. Dodge also introduces a PowerShot feature, temporarily boosting output by 40 hp for 10 seconds, perfect for that quick highway overtake or a little extra flair on track days.

And don’t worry, this electric muscle car still makes a scene. The Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, Dodge’s innovative system that replicates the classic roar of combustion engines, is standard.

With its 400-volt electrical architecture, the Charger sedan delivers an estimated 241 miles of range. It can charge from 20 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes using a DC fast charge,r thanks to a peak charging rate of 183 kW. A standard Level 1/Level 2 home charging cord ensures easy charging access no matter where the Charger rests.

Introducing the 2026 Track Pack

New for both the coupe and sedan in 2026 is the Track Pack, a serious upgrade for driving enthusiasts. It brings the largest brakes ever fitted to a Dodge: 16-inch Brembo vented rotors with six-piston front and four-piston rear red calipers. Wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires and custom 20-inch wheels, the Track Pack enhances both stopping power and cornering grip.

Inside, the Charger sedan blends vintage cues with modern tech. A 16.0-inch digital gauge cluster faces the driver, while the center stack houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen running Dodge’s latest Uconnect 5 infotainment. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, and Dodge Performance Pages are all standard.

Price Still Under Wraps

While Dodge hasn’t revealed pricing for the four-door Scat Pack yet, it’s expected to command a slight premium over the coupe. For reference, the 2025 Charger Daytona Scat Pack coupe starts at $70,190, while the now-discontinued R/T coupe was priced from $61,590.

As the electric future of muscle cars takes shape, Dodge’s latest Charger proves performance and presence can thrive in any drivetrain. The four-door variant brings practicality without compromise, showing the muscle sedan still has plenty of horsepower and now, a plug.
