Mazda has officially pulled the covers off the all-new Mazda CX-5, revealing the European version of its best-selling SUV with a renewed focus on comfort, emotion, and everyday practicality. The third-generation CX-5 made its debut on July 10 through Mazda Motor Europe and will roll into European showrooms by the end of 2025.
A Global Favorite, Now Reimagined
Since its original launch in 2012, the CX-5 has become Mazda’s most successful model worldwide, thanks to its dynamic design, driver-focused performance, and reputation for reliability. Now, with over 4.5 million units sold, Mazda is giving the CX-5 a new purpose: to make daily drives feel more meaningful.
The new model’s theme is “New Generation Emotional Daily Comfort,” which perfectly sums up Mazda’s goal: to build a car that moves people emotionally as well as physically.
Beautiful on the Outside, Thoughtful on the Inside
Mazda’s signature KODO – Soul of Motion design language is refined in the new CX-5. The lines are sleek and sculpted, giving the SUV a sporty yet sophisticated stance. But the real magic happens when you step inside.
The cabin feels like a space designed for real life, quiet, elegant, and functional. Whether you’re picking up groceries, heading to work, or going on a weekend escape, the new CX-5 adapts with ease. There’s more space, better insulation for a quieter ride, and carefully crafted interiors that balance comfort and style.
Smarter Performance, Cleaner Drive
Under the hood, the new CX-5 comes with Mazda’s 2.5L e-SKYACTIV G petrol engine, now paired with the brand’s Mazda M Hybrid system. This mild hybrid setup enhances fuel efficiency and delivers smoother starts and acceleration, perfect for city and highway drives alike.
Matched with a 6-speed SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission, and supported by a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension, the ride feels intuitive and grounded, true to Mazda’s Jinba-Ittai philosophy, where the car and driver feel like one.
Technology That Keeps You Connected
One of the most exciting upgrades is the all-new Human Machine Interface (HMI). This system transforms how drivers interact with the car’s features, making it easier to access apps, settings, and entertainment. There’s more connectivity, more customization, and more ease built into every touchpoint.
Safety isn’t left behind either. With updated Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), the new CX-5 brings peace of mind to every drive with enhanced features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency support.
Rolling Out Soon, With More to Come
Mazda plans to begin European deliveries by late 2025, with other global markets including Japan and North America, to follow in 2026. And this is just the beginning. Mazda has also confirmed it’s working on SKYACTIV-Z, a next-gen combustion engine set to launch with a new hybrid system by 2027.
Everyday Driving, Elevated
With the new CX-5, Mazda isn’t just upgrading an SUV; it’s rethinking what daily driving can feel like. It’s a car built to bring joy in motion, comfort in routine, and emotion in every turn. The all-new CX-5 isn’t just another crossover; it’s your everyday drive, transformed.
