The LEGO Star Wars Death Star Ultimate Collector Series is the company’s largest and priciest Star Wars set to date. At an incredible $999.99, which is slightly under $1,000, this huge kit comes with 9,023 pieces and 38 minifigures, making it the most expensive and largest LEGO set ever made. In addition to providing fans with an immersive construction experience, the set recreates famous scenes from the first three Star Wars films.

A Unique Cross-Section Design for Display and Play:

Unlike previous Death Star models that featured spherical shapes, this new set adopts a cross-sectional design showcasing various interiors of the Death Star, allowing builders and collectors to see detailed rooms and scenes from the movies. Among the many scenes depicted are the garbage compactor where heroes were trapped in “A New Hope,” Emperor Palpatine’s throne room, the tractor beam control room, and the iconic throne and conference room where key villains plot galactic domination.

The set is impressively displayed with a “compact foundation and layered vertical structure,” measuring 20.6 inches tall, 18.9 inches wide, and 15.1 inches deep, striking a balance between depth, complexity, and displayability. While some purists may miss the classic globe shape, the new design is praised for its accessibility and ability to reveal multiple iconic scenes at once.

An Epic Collection of Minifigures Enhances the Experience:

To expand the storytelling possibilities, the set comes with 38 minifigures that depict a wide range of Star Wars characters. Among the characters that fans will find are Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Orson Krennic, and Luke Skywalker in both Jedi and stormtrooper variations. A funny reference to LEGO’s Star Wars video games may be found in the form of a soldier figure lounging in a hot tub.

The size and level of detail in this collection demonstrate LEGO’s dedication to giving Star Wars fans a premium experience. A bonus LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack is one of the additional bonus incentives for early purchasers, which increases the value and excitement for those who purchase early access.

Availability and Market Impact:

On October 1, 2025, LEGO Insiders will be the first to have access to the LEGO Death Star 75419. On October 4, the entire public will be able to purchase it. Considering its excessive cost, the kit immediately becomes the priciest LEGO set ever sold, highlighting the expanding demand for high-end collector editions associated with well-known properties like Star Wars.

Dedicated collectors and fans seeking the ultimate build and display piece are going to be drawn to this set, which is the flagship of LEGO’s Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series. Serious LEGO fans and Star Wars fanatics alike must own it because of its remarkable piece count and complex design, which set a new benchmark. The ambitious and record-breaking Death Star Ultimate Collector Series from LEGO provides fans with an unmatched building experience. In the market for collectible toys, it represents LEGO’s continued commitment to fusing play, narrative, and attractive design. It comes with over 9,000 pieces, dozens of iconic scenes, and a high price tag.
