Bugatti FKP Hommage: A Modern Tribute to an Icon

Bugatti has done it again. Just months after unveiling the jaw-dropping Brouillard, the French marque has revealed its second ultra-exclusive creation under the Programme Solitaire banner. It’s called the Bugatti FKP Hommage, and it’s a deeply personal tribute to both the legendary Veyron and the man who brought Bugatti back to life, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch.

This isn’t a retro remake. It’s something far more thoughtful, a modern interpretation of one of the most important hypercars ever built.

A Veyron Spirit, Reimagined for Today

At first glance, the FKP Hommage instantly evokes the original Veyron. The rounded silhouette, strong shoulders, and iconic two-tone finish feel familiar, yet unmistakably modern. Look closer, and the details reveal themselves: slimmer lighting elements, sharper surfacing, and a stance that feels more aggressive than nostalgic.

Bugatti has crafted bespoke bodywork for this one-off, pairing it with 20-inch wheels up front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. The result is a car that looks like a Veyron that evolved naturally over two decades instead of being frozen in time.

The paintwork deserves special mention. A silver aluminum base coat sits beneath a red-tinted clearcoat, while exposed carbon fiber in deep black recreates the Veyron’s signature two-tone look with modern execution.

Chiron Power, Reworked for the Hommage

Underneath the sculpted body sits serious hardware. The FKP Hommage uses Bugatti’s W16 platform, borrowing the quad-turbocharged engine from the Chiron Super Sport. That means:

  • 1,578 horsepower

  • Larger turbochargers

  • Enhanced cooling

  • Reinforced gearbox

This isn’t a museum piece. It’s a fully functional hypercar built to perform, even if it will likely never be driven in anger.

A Cabin That Honors Legacy

Step inside and the homage becomes even more personal. The steering wheel adopts a circular design inspired by the original Veyron, immediately setting the tone. The center console is machined from solid aluminum, and front and center sits a 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon a reminder that this car exists at the intersection of engineering and haute horology.

Every surface, every control, and every material feels intentional. Nothing is decorative for the sake of it.

Programme Solitaire: Bugatti’s Most Exclusive Vision

The FKP Hommage is only the second creation under Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire, a tier above its Sur Mesure customization program. Just two cars will be built each year under this initiative, making them some of the rarest modern Bugattis ever conceived.

The first was the Brouillard. The second, this.

Why the FKP Hommage Matters

The original Veyron changed the automotive world when it debuted 20 years ago with 1,001 horsepower and a then-unthinkable top speed of 253 mph. It wasn’t just a car, it was proof that limits could be rewritten.

The FKP Hommage doesn’t try to recreate that moment. Instead, it honors it with restraint, craftsmanship, and intent. It shows that Bugatti still understands its own legacy and knows how to evolve without losing its soul.

This isn’t nostalgia.
It’s reverence, executed at 1,578 horsepower.
