Running out of inventory space can become a serious problem in ARC Raiders. Every successful raid brings new weapons, attachments, crafting materials, and valuable loot. Selling useful equipment just to make room is not always the best choice. Fortunately, the Outpost introduced in the Frozen Trail update offers another way to manage your collection. With weapon racks and Furniture Storage, you can keep extra guns without filling your regular Stash.

How Weapon Storage Works in ARC Raiders
The Outpost has a furniture system that does more than improve its appearance. Certain furniture pieces have attached slots that let you display compatible items from your Stash. Once a weapon is placed on a suitable rack, it no longer occupies its original Stash slot.
This means you can keep backup weapons, rare guns, and equipment you are saving for future raids without sacrificing space for other loot.
However, not every furniture item can store weapons. You need a weapon rack with available attachment slots to use this feature.
Step 1: Unlock and Enter the Outpost
Before storing weapons, you must unlock the Outpost. This feature becomes available after reaching Raider Level 18 and completing the Sheltered Retreat Project.
The project requires you to complete several objectives, including photographing a house near Ruined Homestead, submitting construction materials, and dealing damage to specific ARC enemies.
Once the project is complete, you can access your Outpost from Speranza. Explore the available rooms and look for existing furniture positions where you can install a weapon rack.
Step 2: Place a Weapon Rack
Your next task is to install a rack that supports weapons. Depending on the available furniture options, you can use a Sturdy Weapon Rack or a Polished Weapon Rack.
The Sturdy Weapon Rack holds up to three weapons, while the Polished Weapon Rack can hold up to four. Check the furniture menu to confirm the available options and their capacities.
Follow these steps:
- Open your Outpost and find an available furniture position.
- Select the weapon rack you want to place.
- Craft or install it using the options shown in the interface.
- Confirm its placement and make sure it has available weapon slots.
If a regular shelf already occupies the position, you may need to move it into Furniture Storage or recycle it before installing the rack.
Step 3: Store Your Weapons on the Rack
After placing the rack, you can transfer weapons from your Stash.
Approach the rack, open its interaction menu, and select the Decorate option. On a keyboard and mouse, this generally involves right-clicking the furniture. Controller players should follow the on-screen interaction prompt.
The interface will let you select compatible weapons from your inventory. Choose the guns you want to store and assign them to the available slots.
Once the process is complete, check your Stash. The weapons placed on the rack should no longer occupy their original inventory slots.
For the best results, store weapons you rarely use first. Keep your preferred loadout easily accessible so you do not have to reorganize everything before every raid.
Step 4: Store Loaded Weapon Racks
There is another useful trick for players who need even more space. You can place a filled weapon rack into Furniture Storage while keeping its attached weapons on it.
First, fill a rack with weapons. Then open its furniture menu and select Put in Storage. If the option is available, the rack and its attached guns will move into Furniture Storage together.
Furniture Storage has limited capacity, so you cannot store an unlimited number of racks. It also holds other furniture pieces, which compete for those spaces.
Because this interaction has been reported as an undocumented feature, test it with inexpensive equipment before risking valuable weapons. Check that the guns remain attached after storing and retrieving the rack.
