The refreshed 2026 Honda Accord has begun arriving at U.S. dealerships, and the updates focus on exactly what modern buyers care about most: smarter technology, bolder design details, and continued leadership in hybrid efficiency. Honda hasn’t reinvented the Accord, but it has refined it in ways that make the midsize sedan feel more current and competitive.
Bigger Screens, Fewer Compromises
One of the most noticeable upgrades for 2026 is inside the cabin. Entry-level Accord LX and SE trims now come standard with a 9-inch color touchscreen, nearly 30 percent larger than before. Importantly, Honda has kept a physical volume knob, a small detail that makes everyday usability better.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, along with a Qi-compatible 15W wireless phone charger. These features were once reserved for higher trims, but Honda is clearly pushing value further down the lineup.
Sportier Looks Across Key Trims
Honda has also sharpened the Accord’s exterior presence. The turbocharged Accord SE now rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with a new aggressive five-spoke design, giving it a more planted and athletic stance.
Hybrid models get visual upgrades too. The Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid add black exterior accents, including black window trim, black decklid badging, black mirror caps, a black shark-fin antenna, and gloss-black B-pillar trim. It’s a subtle but effective move that adds contrast and attitude without going over the top.
Hybrid Power Leads the Lineup
More than half of Accord buyers are choosing hybrids, and Honda continues to lean into that momentum. The two-motor hybrid system delivers 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, offering brisk acceleration paired with impressive efficiency.
Fuel economy remains a standout, with ratings of up to 51 mpg city and 48 mpg combined on the EX-L Hybrid. The system operates without a traditional transmission, relying instead on direct drive from the motors, which results in smooth power delivery and efficient highway cruising. Honda’s Linear Shift Control adds a familiar, gear-like feel under acceleration.
Gas-powered LX and SE models continue with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 192 horsepower, paired with a CVT tuned to simulate stepped gear changes under hard acceleration.
Safety Comes Standard, Again
The 2026 Accord continues Honda’s “Safety for Everyone” philosophy. Every trim includes the full Honda Sensing® suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and more.
Blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is standard from the SE trim upward, while advanced airbag designs and Honda’s ACE™ body structure further strengthen occupant protection. Rear Seat Reminder and Rear Seatbelt Reminder are now standard across the entire lineup.
Pricing and Availability
The 2026 Accord LX starts at $28,395 (excluding destination), while hybrid models begin at $33,795. The range tops out with the Touring Hybrid at $39,495. Built in Ohio, the Accord continues its four-decade legacy as one of America’s most trusted sedans.
For 2026, the Accord doesn’t chase trends. It refines what already works—and that’s exactly why it still matters.
