When the entire car industry is running towards electrifying their products, the two-wheeler makers also don’t want to stay behind. Getting off the mark, one of the most popular bike manufacturers, Harley-Davidson has unveiled their first ever fully electric bike ‘LiveWire’ on the occasion of the company’s 115th anniversary.

The LiveWire is basically the production version of the Project LiveWire concept that Harley previewed back in 2014. The LiveWire carries the company’s conventional design language and looks pretty attractive at the first glance. It will come equipped with modern technologies such as a full-color TFT instrument panel that can be connected to a smartphone over Bluetooth for calls, music, navigation, and even bike diagnostics.

The LiveWire can be charged through the socket which is placed on the tank and also from a wall socket with the help of the leads under the seat. There are no official words about what powertrain and battery pack the bike will get but the company says that it will be a powerful performer.

The LiveWire has been designed at Harley-Davidson’s Product Development Centre in Wisconsin and built at the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in York, Pennsylvania. Harley-Davidson plans to take the LiveWire in the showrooms around August 2019.
