Huawei is going to launch a mid-range smartphone Huawei Y9 2019 on January 7 in India. The smartphone will be sold on Amazon India, as the e-commerce firm has put up a dedicated page for Huawei Y9.

The company had showed the Y9 few months back in October. Let’s take a look on the smartphone.

Huawei Y9 2019 will have 6.5 inch FHD+ display. The display has 2340×1080 pixels resolution. It has 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio.

The smartphone will run on Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor. We have seen this processor on some other smartphones like Huawei Nova 3i and Honor 8x.

The smartphone has dual rear camera. The primary rear camera is of 16 MP. It has f/2.0 aperture. The secondary rear camera is a 2 MP depth sensing camera which has f/2.4 aperture.

The smartphone has dual front camera. The primary front camera is a 13 MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The secondary front camera is a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

The smartphone has 4000 mAh battery. The smartphone has Micro-USB port for charging and data transfer. (We are still waiting for USB Type-C port from Huawei in budget mid-range segment).

The Y9 2019 is expected to run on EMUI 8.2 based on Android Oero. (However, it will be better if Huawei launched this smartphone running on Android Pie out of the box).

The Huawei Y9 (2019) is expected to launch in multiple storage variants. The base variant might have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Internal Storage. A 128 GB Storage variant is also expected to launch. The 128 GB storage variant might have 6 GB RAM.

NFC is not present on the smartphone. The smartphone has Bluetooth 5.0.

It will be interesting to see the launch price of the Huawei Y9 (2019). The company has Huawei Nova 3i with similar specs on market at about ₹16,999. The price of Y9 (2019) is expected to be priced in 15k-25k price segment.
