We keep following accounts on Facebook, but never keep track of them. What if we have accumulated a decent number of accounts, but don’t know if we are actually sure about all of them? Here is the trick! Read on to know who you follow on Facebook and then decide what to do next. So, let’s jump inside and do it.
Is ‘Following’ visible to everyone on Facebook?
Yes and no. By default, your Following list is often visible to the public or your friends, but it really depends on your specific privacy settings, which can create a difference. If you want to keep your interests private, you can change this by heading to your profile, clicking on the Friends tab, and then finally selecting the Edit Privacy option. From there, you can simply adjust who sees the people, pages, and lists you follow on the platform. You can set it to Public, Friends, or Only Me, depending on how you want it to be. Just remember that while you can hide your list, you might still appear in the followers list on the page you followed, which is a loophole some people find to find the following list of certain accounts, but you can try to fix it.
Steps to see who I’m following on Facebook
If you want to see who you’re following on Facebook, then these are the steps that you can follow.
- Log in to your Facebook account on a browser or the app itself. Now move to your own profile by clicking on your name or profile picture.
- Once you are on your profile page, a lot of tabs will simply appear on the screen. You have to look for that row of tabs right under your cover photo that gives options like Posts, About, and Friends. Click or tap on the Friends tab.
- Inside the Friends section, you will see a sub-menu that opens up. Just look for a category that says Following. If you do not see it immediately on a mobile device, try to go further into the folds of the menu, which will then reveal this option.
- This list will show you all the people, public figures, and pages you have followed till now. It is different from your actual friends list, as it includes accounts where you see their updates without being a two-way connection. However, this is a common way to find everything you have followed or shown interest in recently.
- If you want to clean things up, you can unfollow people directly from this list by tapping on the Following button next to their name. They shall not appear in the list again, and no one else can trace them either. You can also try to adjust the settings.
