Shiprocket IPO Subscription Touches Nearly 100x

According to NSE data, the Shiprocket IPO was subscribed 99.38 times, with investors placing bids for more than 938.52 crore shares against around 9.44 crore shares available in the categories shown.

Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) emerged as the strongest supporters of the issue. Their portion was subscribed 122.80 times, reflecting significant institutional appetite for the e-commerce technology company.

The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) category was subscribed 88.99 times, while retail investors subscribed to their portion 46.42 times.

The strong subscription indicates that Shiprocket’s positioning in India’s expanding e-commerce and logistics ecosystem has attracted considerable investor interest, despite the company continuing to report losses.

Shiprocket IPO Details

The IPO comprised a fresh issue of 9.13 crore shares worth ₹885.50 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 7.55 crore shares valued at ₹731.98 crore.

The price band was fixed at ₹92-₹97 per share, while the lot size was 154 shares. At the upper price band, retail investors needed a minimum investment of ₹14,938.

Employees were offered a reservation of up to 1,13,636 shares and received a discount of ₹9 per share.

The IPO opened on August 12 and closed on August 14, 2026. The shares are scheduled to list on the BSE and NSE on August 19.

Axis Capital is the book-running lead manager, while KFin Technologies is the registrar.

Where Will Shiprocket Use the IPO Money?

Shiprocket plans to deploy a significant portion of the fresh issue towards expanding its technology and strengthening its market presence.

Around ₹365.60 crore is earmarked for investments connected to platform growth and marketing initiatives. Of this, approximately ₹205.80 crore will go towards marketing its core and emerging businesses, while ₹159.80 crore will be invested in technology infrastructure and capabilities.

The company also plans to use ₹210 crore to repay or prepay certain borrowings.

The remaining proceeds are expected to support unidentified acquisitions and general corporate purposes, giving Shiprocket additional room to expand its business and pursue strategic opportunities.

Revenue Is Growing, But Losses Continue

Shiprocket’s financial performance shows a company that is expanding rapidly but has not yet reached consistent profitability.

Its total income increased 24% to ₹2,077.42 crore in FY2026, compared with ₹1,674.82 crore in FY2025. However, its loss after tax widened slightly to ₹79.25 crore, from ₹74.45 crore a year earlier.

The company’s EBITDA loss stood at ₹16.56 crore in FY2026, compared with ₹17.16 crore in FY2025.

There has nevertheless been a significant improvement from FY2024, when Shiprocket reported a massive ₹595.18-crore loss after tax.

Its net worth also increased to ₹1,524.29 crore, while total borrowings stood at ₹242.01 crore at the end of FY2026.

What Does Shiprocket Actually Do?

Founded in 2011, Shiprocket operates as an e-commerce enablement platform serving MSMEs, direct-to-consumer brands and larger retailers.

The company began primarily as a shipping platform, helping online sellers manage deliveries and logistics. Over time, it has expanded into a broader technology ecosystem designed to help businesses manage their online and offline operations.

Its services include domestic shipping, shipping software, order tracking, instant pickups, secure delivery, weight verification and faster cash-on-delivery settlements.

As India’s e-commerce market continues to expand, platforms such as Shiprocket are attempting to become the technology layer connecting sellers with logistics providers and customers.

The Bigger Picture

The IPO’s nearly 100x subscription is a strong vote of confidence from investors, particularly institutions. However, the company’s continuing losses mean its market debut will be closely watched.

Shiprocket is entering the public markets at a time when India’s e-commerce ecosystem is becoming increasingly competitive. Its ability to convert revenue growth into sustainable profits could ultimately determine whether the enthusiasm surrounding its IPO translates into long-term investor confidence.

For now, though, the numbers tell a clear story: Shiprocket’s IPO has become one of the most closely watched Indian listings of August 2026.
