The Basement is the fifth room in the Find Gus event in Brawl Stars. This limited-time Brawl-O-Ween activity asks players to explore Mortis’s Mortuary and solve puzzles to find Gus. In Chuck’s Basement, you must stop a train and rescue Spike before time runs out.

To unlock this room, complete the Entrance, Hallway, Laboratory, and Mr. P’s Parlor, then win three battles. The Basement appears above the Hallway on the event map. Make sure you have the screwdriver collected in the Hallway. You need it to open a fuse box.
Understand the Five-Minute Timer
The timer starts after Chuck’s opening conversation. You have five minutes to finish the puzzle. Read the steps below before starting, then follow them in order. Keep the sequence handy to save precious seconds.
Step 1: Collect the Four Shape Buttons
Tap the central control panel to open it. Use the screwdriver on the fuse box to the right and take the square button from inside.
Three more buttons are hidden beneath the bugs in the web near Spike. Tap the bugs to reveal the shapes, then drag all four buttons onto the control panel. You need a triangle, circle, square, and pentagon.
Step 2: Connect the Fuse Box
Open the fuse box and connect each numbered terminal to the matching shape in this exact order:
- Terminal 1: Triangle
- Terminal 2: Circle
- Terminal 3: Square
- Terminal 4: Pentagon
Once the wiring matches this list, pull the red lever beside the control panel. The panel will become active, allowing you to enter the first code sequence.
Step 3: Enter the First Three Codes
Count the four large buttons on the control panel from left to right. Tap the buttons in these orders, completing each sequence before moving on:
- 4 – 3 – 2 – 1
- 2 – 1 – 4 – 3
- 1 – 2 – 2 – 1
Enter each sequence carefully to avoid wasting time. After the third sequence, the panel will display “FINAL CODE.” Return to the fuse box.
Step 4: Enter the Final Fuse Code
At the fuse box, tap the numbered terminals in this order:
4 – 2 – 3 – 1
This triggers a short circuit and changes the wiring stage. Reconnect the terminals using the new layout:
- Terminal 1: Pentagon
- Terminal 2: Triangle
- Terminal 3: Circle
- Terminal 4: Square
Check the wiring before returning to the control panel. Correct connections are necessary to activate the last code.
Step 5: Stop the Train and Save Spike
Go back to the control panel and enter the final sequence:
1 – 3 – 2 – 4
When the display shows “ALL CLEAR,” press the large round button. This stops the train and completes the timed part of the puzzle. Finish Chuck’s dialogue, then claim the rewards that appear.
Basement Rewards in Brawl Stars
Completing the room earns a Chaos Drop. Faster completion can unlock extra rewards based on the time remaining:
- Finish the room: One Chaos Drop
- At least one minute left: 100 Bling
- At least two minutes left: An additional 300 Bling, for 400 total
- At least three minutes left: A Chuck-themed Player Pin
The rewards stack, so a quick run can earn the Chaos Drop, all 400 Bling, and the Pin. Aim to finish with more than three minutes remaining if you want the safest chance of getting every bonus.
What to Do if the Puzzle Does Not Work
If the fuse box will not open, check that you brought the screwdriver from the Hallway. If the panel does not accept a code, make sure all four shape buttons are installed and the wiring matches the current stage. The first and second wiring layouts are different, so check the list before entering the final code.
