Sheet Metal is a common crafting material in ARC Raiders used for Outpost construction. To collect it efficiently, search the right loot spots rather than focusing only on industrial machines. It can appear as loose loot or inside certain containers.

On Pendola Pass, start at the Commissary Supermarket. Old Town is another option, while Almatera Station is worth visiting when it fits your route.
1. Search the Commissary Supermarket
The Commissary Supermarket is one of the best places to begin farming Sheet Metal on Pendola Pass. Walk through the aisles and inspect shelves carefully. The material can appear as loose loot, so do not limit your search to containers.
Check these spots as you move through the building:
- Shelves throughout the main shopping area
- Lockers and containers in back rooms
- Tables, counters, and surfaces with loose loot
The supermarket has many possible spawn spots, making it a useful first stop. However, loot is not guaranteed. If another Raider has already searched the area, or Sheet Metal does not spawn during your run, keep moving rather than checking the same rooms repeatedly.
2. Check Old Town
Old Town is another choice, especially if you want to collect different useful materials. Search shelves, tables, sofas, kitchen units, and other surfaces where loose items can appear. Do not assume every drawer or cupboard will contain Sheet Metal; it is linked more closely to loose-loot spots and selected industrial containers.
Search buildings in a steady pattern. Enter, check each room, collect useful materials, and leave through a safe route.
3. Look Around Almatera Station
Almatera Station can be a useful additional stop. Search train seats, tables, and other places where loose loot can appear. Vehicles and trolleys may also hold eligible items, so check them when they are along your route.
Choose a compact route based on your spawn point, time remaining, and risk. A short loop is usually better than crossing the map with a full backpack.
What Can Contain Sheet Metal?
Prioritize these sources:
- Loose items on shelves, desks, tables, chairs, and sofas
- Items on train seats and tables
- Loose loot in cars and on trolleys
- Eligible industrial containers, including crates, lockers, and tool-trolley trays
Not every container shares the same loot pool. Nature-related loot spots and research-facility machines are poor targets for Sheet Metal, so focus on eligible loose loot and containers instead.
Tips for Farming More Efficiently
- Use a focused route: Start at the Commissary Supermarket, then visit nearby areas if it remains safe.
- Inspect surfaces closely: Sheet Metal may sit in the open rather than inside a container.
- Avoid unnecessary fights: Combat costs ammunition, healing items, and time. Disengage when a fight does not help your goal.
- Keep your backpack manageable: Sheet Metal is lightweight, so collect it while leaving room for other useful loot.
- Extract when you have enough: Bring materials home safely instead of risking a good haul for one more room.
- Repeat the route: Loot changes between raids. A consistent loop helps you learn the area and search faster.
How to Use Sheet Metal
Sheet Metal is a basic crafting material used for Outpost construction. It is required for the Outpost project, so keep what you need instead of selling or discarding it without checking your current requirements. Its low weight makes it easy to carry several pieces while continuing to scavenge.
