It is considerably confusing to decide on what to do after +2 but she, Pratika Dhoot, was determined from the beginning. Starting her ACCA journey with us right after passing her +2 is no small feat, but for her, it was a path almost destined. Let us get to know the reason as we are in conversation with her.
Family
Coming from a humble yet educative family background where Chartered Accountancy (CA) was a common career choice, she felt the pull toward finance and accounting but did not want to go through the rigour of the program. So in search of a different route, she settled on ACCA. “In my home, almost everyone has done CA. I had to go in this line but not CA. So I chose this one,” she shares candidly about her decision to pursue ACCA instead.
Education
Talking about her educational background, Pratika is a commerce student with mathematics from Greenway Modern School, Delhi. As she already had plans to do something in the commerce field, her studies aligned with the requirements of our ACCA coaching in Delhi. Within a year, has successfully cleared the Knowledge and Skills levels of ACCA, with only two more papers—Financial Management and Taxation—left to complete. But her achievements extend beyond finance. Alongside ACCA, she also pursued and completed her French language studies. “I have done French. It’s over, I have taken exams. Akhil sir guided me on this. He told me but I was shocked and then he said that you will get jobs abroad. So I did a French language course along with my ACCA ” she says proudly.
Balancing Studies and Work
Pratika’s journey with us at edZeb was not just about passing exams. She is an amazing personality, bright, young and energetic. Her journey is all about managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. She has recently started working in bookkeeping but before that, she simultaneously managed to pass her ACCA exams. It is an exciting step in her career and presented her with a new challenge of balancing work with studies. “It’s been 15 days. I mean, I’m doing fine, but it’s difficult with studies,” she admits. Yet, she remains optimistic. “Once I get into the flow of my work, I will get used to it. I guess when I get habitual things will get smoother.”
When asked about her study plan, she recalled a particularly intense phase. “In September, I took two exams together—FR and Audit. I was under more pressure that time because I missed my June attempt,” she explains. Despite the stress she is undergoing, her commitment is worth thousands of praises. She is doing a commendable job multitasking everything at once.
The edZeb Experience
A major factor in Pratika’s success has been the environment provided by our ACCA Coaching program. She credits the institute for its structured approach and responsive mentorship. “Everyone was cooperative, and that is why you feel that. Classes are not scheduled or cancelled randomly. Everything happens on time. Everything is organized, Akhil Sir and Bhalla Sir are very cooperative” she says.
But it was not just limited to academics. Pratika appreciated the mentorship and career guidance she received here. “I have been told that I can text them anytime, and they will reply to me within 10 minutes. Not only about academics but also about my career,” she shares. This level of accessibility can make a significant impact on anyone’s learning experience.
Outstanding Achievement
Listing the outstanding achievements in her journey are that, one, she started right after her +2, second, she got enrolled with edZeb, thirdly, she focused on her studies and followed the personalized career guidance which included doing French for international career scope and on top of everything passing all the exams in one go and that too within a year. It is commendable, right? So her journey is a perfect example of achieving everything you have ever dreamt of but working hard for that pays off really well.
Looking Ahead
With her ACCA journey nearing its final stages, Pratika remains focused on her goals. While she acknowledges the challenges of balancing work and studies, she is determined to see it through. “Money inspires, and I have a family of CAs at home.” “So, is it what it means that nepotism also comes in between,” she laughs, hinting at the deep-rooted influence of finance in her life.
For aspiring ACCA students, her story serves as an inspiration. Pratika juggles work, language studies, and professional exams showcasing the resilience and determination she has. And when asked if she would recommend edZeb, her response is simple but strong: “It’s Good.” So, for us, it means a lot when a student does not complain and above just an OKAY, says that “It’s Good” it’s actually to hear that!
