Adobe launched an AI video generator to help users create videos from text prompts and images. These features, integrated into Adobe’s popular video-editing software, Premiere Pro, will allow users to extend video clips using generative AI. The announcement was made during Adobe’s annual product conference in Miami on Monday.
One key feature, the Generative Extend tool, can add up to two seconds of video at 720p or 1080p resolution and 24 frames per second (FPS). This is useful for making minor adjustments, such as correcting eye movements or smoothing footage, reducing the need for costly reshoots. The tool can also extend audio, increasing sound effects or ambient noise by up to 10 seconds, although it cannot process spoken dialogue or music.

Adobe also introduced tools that generate videos from text prompts or images. This functionality will be available through Adobe’s Firefly Video Model, currently in limited public beta. These tools enable users to create videos simply by typing descriptions or uploading images.
