Summer is slowly coming to an end, and as we usher in the last month of the season, tech enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to some highly anticipated new smartphones arriving in September.
The big headlines from last week were all about two major unveil dates: It is revealed that Nigerian telecommunication company Infinix is releasing its latest 5G smartphone known as Hot 50, rumors have it that Apple is planning to launch its iPhone 16 series.
Infinix Hot 50 5G
To start with, let me tell you about Infinix Hot 50 5G. According to Infinix, this particular model will officially launch on September 5th, and they are dubbing it ‘the slimmest and most reliable 5G smartphone ever. ‘ Well, you have to admit it, they were really going for that smartphone body issue trainer vibe here-lean, mean, thin, muscular, and always connected!
Although details of the specs leak gradually, Infinix itself appears to be keen on shining with design and performance. This could be the phone that makes you boast in front of your friends who are still grappling with their Wi-Fi. Wait and watch whether it delivers on the promise or remains just another fish in the smartphone pond.
Apple iPhone 16 Series: Mark Your Calendar
If you want to mark the date on your calendar for the next release of Apple’s iPhones, then circle September 10 because Apple is rumored to release not one or two but four iPhones in one go namely iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. But if that is not enough, expanded models can also debut, including the new Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Ultra, as well as new AirPods.
There are speculations that the new iPhone 16 Pro Max will come in a new color, “Desert Titanium’ which has appeared in a hands-on video. Apple is always unpredictable, and they keep their fans guessing most of the time.
Google Pixel 9a: The Almost-Flush Camera Bar
To capture the moment, Google is set to release the Pixel 9a later in the year. Speculations are it will have a camera bar that is almost flush with the surface—sounds like somebody left the camera bar on their Pixel press-up challenge.
This could be the awesome A-series entry for those who want good performance without necessarily paying for it. Don’t miss out on the latest news as Google prepares for its next big step!
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
According to the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be even thinner and lighter than both the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. It’s like they’re trying to win the ‘smartphone limbo,’ seeing just how low they can go in weight. Having a weight of less than 221 grams, this little device is going to make users feel like they are holding a feather especially if they had used their previous model – S24 Ultra – which was 232 grams.
Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2
And if you thought foldable phones are it, then let me introduce you to Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2; a tri-fold concept phone that is initially an 6.48-inch device and can increase to 10 inches at maximum. Tecno has not said when this piece from a sci-fi movie will be available in the market but we are definitely bemused about foldables.
