As the festive season kicks off, BYD (Build Your Dreams) has rolled out exciting offers on its flagship electric sedan, the BYD Seal. In a bid to attract more customers during the festive period, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer is offering cash discounts and complimentary service packages on its various trims. These offers provide buyers with total benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh, making it a tempting option for those looking to switch to an eco-friendly vehicle without compromising on performance or luxury.

Discounts Across Variants

The top-of-the-line Performance trim of the BYD Seal is receiving the most significant festive discounts. Buyers opting for this variant can avail of a cash discount of Rs 2 lakh, which is complemented by a 3-year service and maintenance package valued at Rs 50,000. This brings the total benefit for Performance variant customers to a substantial Rs 2.5 lakh, positioning it as an appealing proposition for EV enthusiasts seeking high performance and long-range capability.

The mid-spec Premium variant also receives attractive festive benefits, although slightly lower than the top variant. Customers purchasing this variant will be entitled to a total discount of Rs 1 lakh, which includes a cash discount of Rs 50,000 along with the same 3-year complimentary service and maintenance package worth Rs 50,000.

For the Dynamic variant, the base model in the Seal range, BYD has not announced specific festive discounts, but its competitive pricing and feature set still make it a compelling option for budget-conscious EV buyers.

Overview of BYD Seal Variants

The BYD Seal electric sedan comes in three distinct variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance, each offering varying levels of power, range, and features to suit different customer preferences.

  • The entry-level Dynamic variant is equipped with a single electric motor producing 201 BHP and 310 Nm of torque. It draws power from a 61.44 kWh battery pack, which provides a maximum driving range of 510 km on a single charge. This makes it a solid choice for urban commuters who require a reliable, long-range electric vehicle at a lower price point.
  • The Premium variant, sitting between the Dynamic and Performance models, features a more powerful electric motor delivering 308 BHP and 360 Nm of torque. This variant comes with a larger 82.56 kWh battery, offering an impressive range of up to 650 km on a full charge. Its mix of power, performance, and extended range makes it ideal for those seeking a balance between daily driving and long-distance travel.
  • The range-topping Performance variant is where the BYD Seal truly shines in terms of power and capability. It boasts an all-wheel-drive setup powered by dual electric motors that produce a staggering 523 BHP and 670 Nm of torque. Despite sharing the same 82.56 kWh battery as the Premium variant, the Performance trim’s range is slightly lower at 580 km, owing to its higher power output and performance-focused configuration. The result is a fast, dynamic EV that can deliver thrills while maintaining a respectable range.

Competitive Pricing and Festive Incentives

With prices starting at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Dynamic variant, the BYD Seal is positioned as a premium electric sedan in the Indian market. However, the festive offers significantly enhance its value proposition, especially for buyers considering the high-performance Performance trim.

Additionally, the inclusion of the 3-year complimentary service and maintenance package across the Premium and Performance variants adds further peace of mind, making ownership more cost-effective in the long run.

A Strong Festive Offering

BYD’s festive offers on the Seal electric sedan are well-timed, tapping into the growing demand for electric vehicles in India. With a blend of powerful performance, long-range capabilities, and significant discounts, the Seal is poised to attract EV buyers who are looking for a premium, high-performance electric sedan that also comes with substantial savings.

These festive offers provide a great opportunity for potential buyers to switch to an electric vehicle, especially as the Indian market shifts towards sustainable mobility solutions. With BYD’s growing reputation and commitment to innovation, the Seal is set to make its mark this festive season.
