People in India can now be going to use Amazon to book their domestic flights in addition to the money transfers, shopping, mobile recharges, utility bill payments and shopping – all with just one single tap, the e-commerce giant revealed on the last Saturday.
Amazon has now also collaborated with online travel and leisure activities platform Cleartrip to launch the service. “We are excited to partner with Cleartrip and share their passion of creating best in class travel experiences,” Shariq Plasticwala, Director, Amazon Pay, said in a statement.
Amazon said that it would not be going to levy any of the additional charges in case customers cancels the tickets. They only have to pay the airline cancellation penalty.
Customers can even find the flights icon the Amazon Pay page in the Amazon Mobile application on the website itself.
“We’re delighted to add domestic flight bookings enabling customers to do more with their Amazon app and for prime members to get more value from their membership,” Plasticwala added.
