Pesto, which is a Gurgaon based career accelerator for the top software engineering talent, has now secured $2 Million in the funding round of seed led by the Matrix partners and the company also has a plan to use the funds to expand services and opening some of the new training centers in other cities.
The investors include the Swiggy founders Srihasha Majesty, Nandan and Rahul; Posist Founder Ashish Tulsian; Innov8 founder Ritesh Malik; and Jack Yeung with some other angel investors participated in the round.
“There’s an opportunity gap that exists for software developers in India versus the US. An entry-level engineer in the US will get paid $150,000, whereas in India an engineer with the same skills gets paid just Rs 300,000 per annum,” said Ayush Jaiswal, co-founder, and CEO at Pesto, which enables software engineers to work remotely for global technology companies as full-time employees.
Pesto is founded by Andrew Linfoot, a San Francisco based serial entrepreneur.
