For luxury car enthusiasts dreaming of owning a Ferrari F80, getting their hands on one has become even more exclusive. Limited to just 799 units worldwide, the F80 comes with a price tag of $3.9 million. But it’s not as simple as having the funds ready; Ferrari enthusiasts need strong ties with the Italian automaker and its dealers to secure a build slot. However, a recent ad on the German classifieds site Mobile offers an alternative route – but at a steep markup.

Listed by Munich-based investment firm KB Lease Invest, the F80 is advertised at €5.9 million (around $6.3 million), representing an eye-popping $2.5 million increase from the original price. The ad, spotted by The Supercar Blog, lists the car as a Ferrari “other,” as Mobile’s system doesn’t yet have a dedicated category for the F80 model. The post claims a late 2025 delivery date, though further details about the car’s specifications remain scarce.

The Race for Exclusivity Heats Up with Multi-Million Dollar Build Slots

A few reports suggested that the €5.9 million price only covered a build slot. However, upon contacting KB Lease Invest, they confirmed that the nearly $6.3 million investment does, indeed, include a complete F80. The substantial markup, though typical in such high-demand transactions, has undoubtedly caused a stir among collectors and dealers, likely sparking some concern in Ferrari’s Maranello headquarters. The automaker has yet to respond publicly to the listing.

The German classifieds site has become a growing hub for Ferrari enthusiasts willing to pay a premium to secure their place in line. For example, another listing offers a slot for the highly anticipated 12Cilindri for €472,311 (about $511,000), while a Munich dealer is advertising an early-2025 12Cilindri delivery slot for a higher €699,000 (approximately $646,000). And for those interested in the 12Cilindri Spider, a spot can be reserved for €1 million, or around $1.08 million.

In an industry where exclusivity and prestige are highly valued, the allure of owning a Ferrari F80 is undeniable, even if it means paying a hefty premium. With slots selling fast, prospective owners may be eager to act now – but only if they’re willing to go the extra mile, and millions, to secure a spot in Ferrari’s elite circle.
