Gujarat Titans, one of the two newly added teams, have unveiled their logo ahead ahead of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). With this, the new IPL franchise becomes the first team in India to launch its own space in the virtual world.
The logo was launched by the team’s Head Coach – Ashish Nehra, Captain – Hardik Pandya and batsman – Shubman Gill, who had the first-ever interaction in The Titans Dugout in the metaverse.

The team logo in the special space features Gold, White & Blue colours with a pyramid shape upwards. According to the franchise, it symbolises the aspirations of the team to achieve the ‘pinnacle’ of success in the upcoming season of IPL.
It takes inspiration from the shape of a ‘Kite’ that soars up and high in the sky, reflecting the team’s urge to scale new horizons of endless possibilities. As kite-flying is an integral part of Gujarat’s cultural heritage with festivities like the Uttarayan festival, the logo reflects the rich cultural heritage and legacy of the state, the basis on which the team’s foundation is built upon.
The logo also features a ‘bolt of lightning’, symbolizing the sheer energy and the immense power to illuminate even the darkest of the skies in a split second, which in the context of the team, will stand for their determination to turn adversity into triumph.
The official team logo echoes the very belief GT inculcates — ‘We stop at nothing’, a mantra that is imbibed in the team’s spirit to always move forward with courage and determination, starting with its debut in the 15th edition of the IPL 2022.

Colonel Arvinder Singh, Chief Operating Officer – Gujarat Titans, in the official press release said: “Cricket is a game of infinite possibilities and taking forward the spirit of the game, we are thrilled to announce Gujarat Titans entry into The Metaverse as we are all set to reveal our team logo.”
He further added, “We are confident that the Gujarat Titans logo launch and The Titans Dugout in The Metaverse will provide an immersive and engaging experience for our fans. We strongly believe that this will not only give our fans an exciting experience, but also will be a unique way for our fans to interact and engage with the team.”
The Titans bought some prominent names at the mega-auction, with match winners in form of Mohammed Shami, Jason Roy and Lockie Ferguson.
The squad also includes the likes of Rahul Tewatia, Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Dominic Drakes, Matthew Wade who will be joining the team’s draft picks – Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill.
