If you want to beat speed and strength, Antumbra’s Sword is going to be a surprise for you! Follow the guide to know how you can beat this boss and excel in the game. We shall see the best strategy that can help you beat him like a pro. So, let’s get started.
About Antumbra’s Sword
Antumbra’s Sword is the first boss you can possibly come across while playing Crimson Desert. He’s a spectral swordsman who guards the path to the Akman temple. Being what he is and also the authority he holds, he isn’t the favorite among gamers. Let’s just say that he doesn’t fight like a normal boss, but rather he uses a lot of teleportation and shadow-cloning tricks that can easily catch anyone off guard. The whole fight is designed to test if you’ve actually mastered the parry and focus systems.
This prepares you for the fights ahead, and it also gives you the taste of how amazing you can be in a battle. His hits are quick and frequent, so you have to be utterly careful. You can follow his silhouette or shadow to predict the next moves and plan your hits accordingly. However, you may still take some moments to understand how it works. But that’s okay.
Beating Antumbra’s Sword in the Game
Now that we know who this boss is, let us understand how we can beat him in the game!
- To begin, just stop trying to chase him. Sounds bizarre, but it is needed. He teleports a lot, which can make it all of no use. Instead, you can try to stay in the center of the arena and let him come to you. It saves your stamina and keeps you away from running around without a purpose.
- Your Focus Bar should be strong enough. Wasting it is not a good idea. You can just tap into it while he teleports, so you can actually see where he’s reappearing. This gives you a peek at his shadow before you can mark and aim a hit.
- Now comes the interesting part! You have to master the parry. If you just block, he’ll wear out your guard. You need to wait for that specific flash on his blade, parry it, and then hit him with a Force Palm. This is the OG formation to land a solid hit.
- A piece of advice, we can tell you to eat. If your health or spirit drops even a little, just eat. The fruit is needed because it recharges your spirit, which you need for those heavy moves.
- Finally, when he starts glowing red for the big wave attacks, just run. You can then circle around him and wait for the “calm” phase to resume before you can land your hits! Do all of this, and you will conquer the first encounter with a boss in the game.
