Jormuntide Ignis is one of the strongest Fire and Dragon Pals you can add to your team in Palworld. If you want to get one through breeding, the process is straightforward once you have the correct parents. In the current version of Palworld, there is one direct cross-species combination that guarantees Jormuntide Ignis, along with breeding two Jormuntide Ignis together.

Jormuntide Ignis Breeding Combination
The easiest way to breed Jormuntide Ignis is to pair:
- Blazehowl
- Jormuntide
This is a special breeding combination, so the result is guaranteed. You do not need to worry about breeding power or a complicated chain.
You can also breed a male and female Jormuntide Ignis together. Because same-species breeding produces the same Pal, this is a reliable way to create more Jormuntide Ignis offspring once you already have a pair.
For the Blazehowl and Jormuntide combination, the genders can be assigned either way. However, you still need one male and one female because two Pals of the same gender cannot breed.
How To Start Breeding
Before breeding, you need access to a Breeding Farm. Once it is built, prepare the following:
- Capture a Blazehowl and a Jormuntide.
- Make sure they are opposite genders.
- Place both Pals inside the Breeding Farm.
- Put a Cake into the farm’s attached feed box.
- Wait for the breeding process to finish.
- Collect the Huge Dragon Egg that appears.
- Place the egg into an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch.
The Cake is essential. The farm will not produce an egg without one, and each breeding cycle consumes a Cake. If you plan to hatch several Jormuntide Ignis, it is worth preparing multiple Cakes before starting.
The egg produced by this special pairing is a Huge Dragon Egg, so make sure your incubation setup is ready. Egg hatching time can vary with your world settings and incubation conditions accordingly.
How To Make A Cake
A Cake requires several basic ingredients, so prepare your base before beginning a large breeding project. Each Cake uses:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Eggs
- 2 Honey
Flour comes from Wheat, while Milk and Eggs can be obtained from suitable Pals or other sources. Honey is also obtainable from certain Pals. A steady supply makes repeated breeding easier.
Getting The Parents
Jormuntide is the Water and Dragon parent required for this special combination. Do not confuse it with Jormuntide Ignis, which is the Fire and Dragon variant.
Blazehowl is a Fire and Dark Pal that can be found in volcanic areas. Jormuntide can be obtained through its Alpha encounter or by hatching a suitable Huge Dragon Egg. Once you have both species, you can immediately begin the breeding process.
Breeding For Better Passives
Getting Jormuntide Ignis is only the first step if you want a powerful combat Pal. Breeding can also help you create offspring with better passive skills.
Before placing the parents into the farm, check their passive skills. Parents can pass useful traits to their offspring, so starting with Pals that already have desirable passives can save a lot of time. You may need to hatch several eggs before getting the exact combination you want because inheritance is not guaranteed.
For combat, focus on offensive passives. For base work, prioritize work-related traits.
Why Breed Jormuntide Ignis?
Jormuntide Ignis is particularly valuable because of its Level 7 Kindling Work Suitability. This makes it an excellent worker for tasks involving fire, such as cooking and smelting. Its Fire and Dragon typing also gives it strong combat potential.
Breeding is especially useful when you want several copies or want to improve their passive skills without repeatedly searching for another wild Jormuntide Ignis.
