Steps to delete an Instagram account

- Download Instagram and log in using your credentials.
- Now go directly to ‘Accounts ownership and control settings’, after opening the Accounts
Centre. - Choose ‘Deactivation’.
- Now click on the account you would like to delete and click on ‘Delete Account’.
- Click on ‘Continue’ to confirm your entered responses and your account will be deleted from the platform.
How to delete a Facebook account?
If you are a Facebook user and want to take a break from the platform, here is what you can do about it –
- Log in to your Facebook account and visit your profile. It is on the top right corner of the screen.
- Now move to ‘Settings and Privacy’ in ‘Settings’.
- Click on ‘Accounts Centre’.
- Under the heading of Account details, click on ‘Personal Details’ and then ‘Account ownership and control’.
- Choose ‘Deactivation or deletion’.
- As the next step, choose the profile that you would want to deactivate and then select ‘Deactivate Account’.
- Click on ‘Continue’ to confirm your decision.
Your account will be deleted and removed from the platform now.
How to delete a Threads account?

- Visit the webpage – Threads.net on your PC.
- Now look at the bottom of the page and click on the two parallel lines there to find ‘Settings’.
- Click on ‘Account’ and then ‘Deactivate or delete profile’.
- Now click on ‘Delete Profile’.
- Continue and then click ‘Delete Threads Profile’.
It will take almost 30 days for your deletion request to solidify, post which your Threads account too will be deleted.
One thing to note here is that it is only necessary if you are deleting your Threads account only. That is, if you delete your Instagram account linked with Threads, it automatically gets deleted.
