The Pacific Standard Heist is one of the most exciting and rewarding missions in Grand Theft Auto Online. It is the final heist in the original Apartment Heists series and challenges four players to rob the Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank before making a dramatic escape through Los Santos. While the mission is not the hardest in the game, it requires teamwork, good communication, and careful planning to complete successfully.

Requirements Before Starting
Before you can host the Pacific Standard Heist, you must meet a few requirements.
You need:
- A High-End Apartment with a Heist Planning Room
- Four players in total
- Enough money to pay the setup fee
- Completion of the previous Apartment Heists, including Series A Funding
Once everything is unlocked, Lester will introduce the heist and allow you to begin the setup missions.
Complete All Five Setup Missions
The Pacific Standard Heist has five setup missions. Every one of them prepares your crew for the final bank robbery.
1. Vans
Your crew must locate the correct Post OP van carrying a special transponder. Photograph the marked vans until Lester identifies the correct one. Steal it and deliver it safely.
2. Signal
Take the transponder to Avi Schwartzman, who is hiding in North Chumash. Defend him from enemies while he tunes the device so it can disable the bank’s dye packs.
3. Hack
Steal advanced hacking equipment from a rival heist crew. Eliminate the guards, distract the crew, and return the equipment to Paige for preparation.
4. Convoy
Intercept a Merryweather convoy transporting thermal charges. Destroy the escort vehicles if needed, steal the explosives, and deliver them to your planning location.
5. Bikes
Steal four Lectro motorcycles from The Lost MC clubhouse. Escape the pursuing bikers and store the motorcycles near the bank for the getaway.
After completing every setup, the finale becomes available.
Choose Team Roles Carefully
The finale divides the crew into different responsibilities. Assign players based on their experience.
The available roles include:
- Hacker
- Demolition
- Two Crowd Control players
The Hacker opens the vault systems.
The Demolition player places thermal charges on security doors.
The Crowd Control players keep civilians under control to prevent alarms from triggering early.
Strong communication makes these roles much easier to manage.
Robbing the Bank
Drive to the Pacific Standard Bank and enter together.
Once inside:
- Equip your masks and weapons.
- Crowd Control players aim at civilians to keep everyone calm.
- Avoid killing innocent people.
- The Hacker opens the vault systems.
- The Demolition player breaches the locked doors using thermal charges.
After the vault opens, everyone collects cash.
Keep in mind that players carrying money will lose part of the total payout every time they take damage. Protect the teammate holding the largest amount of cash whenever possible.
Escaping the Police
After leaving the bank, a large police response begins immediately.
Fight through the streets until you reach the parked Lectro motorcycles. Follow Lester’s marked route rather than taking random shortcuts unless your team knows an alternative escape strategy.
Stay close together during the ride. Players who fall behind often attract more police attention and can slow the entire team.
The route eventually leads into the countryside before reaching a cliff.
Jump from the cliff, deploy your parachute safely, and land near the waiting Dinghy boat.
Everyone boards the boat before driving into open water to complete the heist.
