Steps to enter the Firefly Lottery
If you want to enter the Firefly Lottery, then these are the steps that you can follow.
- You need to take care of the time! So, mark your calendar for the lottery window, which runs from April 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EDT through April 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT, or you may not get in. The window may not open again, and it only stays open for the given time. So, you must hurry.
- Go to Recreation.gov and create an account for yourself to jump in before the portal opens. It means that having your login credentials ready is going to save you time at the last minute.
- When you’re there, use your account to search for the official Great Smoky Mountains firefly event page on the site.
