Do you want to get your Budew evolved? Follow the guide to know how you can do so. We shall see the steps to evolve this Pokémon and how you can get that very version in the game. It’s a unique thing and will really help you in battles. So, let’s get started.
About Budew
Budew is another cute and adorable Pokémon that can just make your day. It’s a tiny, Grass/Poison-type Baby Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It has been gifted with unique abilities that will make it stand out from the other Pokémon out there. You can tell spring is coming because it’s extremely sensitive to temperature. When it feels the sun’s warmth on itself, its bud starts to open and release pollen. Another amazing thing it does is that over the winter, it closes up its bud to endure the cold, or rather, goes dormant is what we can say. Despite the fact that it looks cute, the pollen is mildly poisonous! To evolve it into Roselia, you need to level it up during the daytime when it has high Friendship. That’s how you can simply get it!
Where to find Budew?
Well, it is quite a subjective thing, and that really depends on which Pokémon game you’re playing. Since Budew is found in different spots in different games, you can’t look for it in the same or similar areas. For example, in the Sinnoh region, like in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you can look in the tall grass on Routes 204 and 212, or simply go into the Eterna Forest. It is much more likely to hang out near clear pools and ponds.
However, if you’re in the Galar region in Word and Shield, try to check the Wild Area in spots like Dappled Grove or East Lake Axewell. Do it especially when the weather is overcast. While doing so, just look for those patches of grass, and you might find the little Pokémon walking around somewhere.
Steps to evolve Budew
If you want to evolve Budew, then these are the steps that you need to follow.
Increase its Friendship
Budew is a Baby Pokémon, so you first need to maximize its happiness, and then you can evolve it. To do so, you can try this,
- Walking with it at your party.
- Giving it a Soothe Bell to hold, which you may have seen works with other Pokémon as well.
- Feeding it Poffins, Vitamins, or certain Berries, and all that it likes.
- This is a crucial one! Avoid letting it faint in battle.
Level it Up
Once Budew has a high friendship value with you, which is usually 220 or higher, the next step is to level it up!
Check and Follow the Time
This level up must happen during the day, as that’s the time when it takes place. It is usually between 4:00 AM and 7:59 PM in most games, but try doing it once and you’ll know. Even if it levels up at night with high Friendship, it won’t evolve, so be careful.
Get Roselia
This is when Budew evolves into Roselia. After this, you can use a Shiny Stone on Roselia to get the final form, Roserade.
That’s all you need to do to evolve Budew into Roselia and then Roserade!
