Do you want to evolve your Honedge? Read on to know how you can get an evolved version of this amazing Pokémon by following just a couple of steps. So, here we go!
About Honedge
Honedge is the kind of Pokémon that you may wanna get if you love the spooky ones! It’s a Ghost/Steel-type Pokémon first introduced in Generation VI. It’s shaped like a medieval sword that is possessed by a departed spirit. Quite grim, we get it! Its design shows a silver blade with a small blue eye on the hilt and a swirling, cloth sash attached to the pommel that it has. But you must know beforehand that the cloth is dangerous, and if someone dares to grab the hilt, the cloth will wrap around them and drain their life energy. When you move ahead, it evolves first into Doublade, and then into the scary Aegislash, making it a powerful and stylish member of your team!
Spots where we can find Honedge
Depending on the game you’re playing, let us tell you the correct locations that will fetch you a Honedge!
In Pokémon X and Y (Generation VI)
If this is the game you are playing, then you can find Honedge in the tall grass on Route 6, which is the path leading up to Parfum Palace.
In Pokémon Sword and Shield (Generation VIII)
This is also a very specific spot! Just look for it in the Hammerlocke Hills area of the Wild Area. It has a higher spawn rate in the overworld during foggy weather or in the grass during a snowstorm/blizzard, so keep that in mind as well!
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A
If you are playing the latest Legends Z-A, then you must know that you can look for it in Wild Zone 4, but only at night, and mainly around the cemetery section.
Steps to evolve Honedge
If you want to evolve your Honedge, then these steps will help you.
Honedge to Doublade
- This is the first evolution and is the simplest. You just need to train Honedge up to Level 35 by battling with it or even using EXP items.
- Once it has reached Level 35, it will evolve automatically into Doublade, which then appears as two swords coordinating their attack via telepathy.
Doublade to Aegislash
- The next evolution comes with a condition. It requires a specific item – the Dusk Stone, which is non-negotiable. Your Doublade can be any level, and it doesn’t really matter here. Here, you simply need to expose it to the Dusk Stone or see the item on Doublade from your bag or inventory, and get the evolved version right away.
- The Dusk Stone is usually a rare item found in specific locations or purchased in the game. This, you will get the final stage of this Pokemon – Aegislash.
And that is the journey of Honedge that you can see through the evolution, if you choose to do it in any game.
