Move to the Main Story and Get the Call
To do this, you will have to get to Main Mission 8: Reaching Rank V. And once you have completed the first battle of Mission 8, heal your Pokémon at any Pokémon Center. With this done, Professor Mable will call you, starting Side Mission 22.
Choose Charmander
After that, you can go to Mable’s office on the third floor of the Pokémon Research Lab and interact with the Kanto starters. After this, you can choose Charmander as your reward.
Complete the Story and Unlock Wild Zone 20
You must complete the main story – Main Mission 38 in order to unlock the rest of the things. After this, the new area, a rocky, central Wild Zone, will become accessible to you.
