ARC Raiders is built as a shared-world extraction shooter, which means player versus player encounters are part of the core design. Many players, however, want a calmer experience focused on fighting machines, looting, and learning the map. If you are looking for PvE lobbies in ARC Raiders, it is important to understand what is and is not currently possible, and how to adjust your playstyle to reduce PvP encounters.

At the time of writing, ARC Raiders does not offer an official PvE-only lobby or toggle. Every match is designed as a mixed environment where both AI enemies and real players exist together. This means there is no menu option to queue into a pure PvE session.

That said, matchmaking is influenced by region, time, and player population. Because of this, some matches naturally feel more PvE-focused than others. Knowing how the system behaves helps you increase your chances of getting quieter raids.

Is There a True PvE Mode in ARC Raiders

The short answer is no. There is currently no confirmed PvE-only mode, private lobby, or offline raid option. Embark Studios has acknowledged that many players want a PvE experience, but for now the game is balanced around shared encounters.

Instead of chasing a setting that does not exist yet, the best approach is learning how to play ARC Raiders in a PvE-heavy way while avoiding unnecessary player conflict.

Best Ways to Get PvE-Heavy Matches

While you cannot fully remove other players, you can greatly lower how often you run into them. These methods are commonly used by players who want a PvE-first experience.

  • Play during off-peak hours when fewer players are online

  • Choose regions with lower server population if possible

  • Avoid high-tier loot zones early in the match

  • Stay away from extraction points until late

  • Move slowly and listen for gunfire before entering areas

Off-peak hours are especially effective. Late night or early morning sessions often result in quieter lobbies where AI enemies are the main threat.

Solo Play Helps Reduce PvP Pressure

Playing solo can actually help if your goal is PvE. Squads tend to move faster, shoot more often, and attract attention. Solo players are easier to hide and can disengage quickly.

When playing solo, focus on:

  • Using cover instead of open paths

  • Crouch walking near machine-heavy zones

  • Avoiding unnecessary combat sounds

  • Extracting early with small wins

This style turns ARC Raiders into a tense survival PvE game rather than a shooter focused on duels.

Map Knowledge Is Key to PvE Runs

Learning the map dramatically reduces PvP encounters. Certain areas are known hotspots because they contain rare loot or mission objectives. Other areas are rich in machines but low in player traffic.

Spend time identifying:

  • Machine spawn clusters

  • Quiet loot routes

  • Safe extraction paths

  • Areas with natural cover

Once you understand these patterns, you can plan PvE-focused runs that rarely cross paths with other players.

Loadouts That Support PvE Gameplay

Your gear choices matter if you want to avoid PvP. Loud weapons and flashy tools draw attention. PvE-friendly loadouts focus on control, ammo efficiency, and survival.

Good PvE loadout habits include:

  • Using suppressed or lower-noise weapons when available

  • Carrying utility items for machines, not players

  • Packing healing and stamina tools over grenades

  • Wearing gear that favors mobility

These choices help you clear AI threats quickly and escape if another player appears.

Using Stealth to Avoid Other Players

Stealth is one of the strongest PvE tools in ARC Raiders. Machines follow predictable behavior, while players react to sound and movement.

To stay unnoticed:

  • Do not sprint unless necessary

  • Avoid firing multiple shots in quick succession

  • Let machines move away before engaging

  • Break line of sight often

Stealth does not remove PvP entirely, but it lowers your visibility enough to complete PvE objectives safely.
