Yes, anyone logged into your account can still find it quite easily if they know where to look. They just have to go into your account settings and click on the archived orders section. Also, hiding an order won’t stop Amazon from using that purchase to recommend similar products to you on your homepage. This can also be a sign to anyone using the same account.
Steps to hide orders on Amazon
If multiple people use your Amazon account and you don’t want your purchases to be visible to everyone, you can take care of it right now.
- Open your web browser, go to the Amazon website, and log in to your account if you are not already signed in.
- Now, gently hover your mouse over the Accounts and Lists tab located at the top right corner of the homepage. Click on Your Orders from the drop-down menu.
- Here, you have to scroll through the list to find the specific item or purchase that you want to hide from your main history page. You can pick more than one.
- Now look at the bottom left corner of that specific order box, where you will see a link that says Archive order.
- Click on that link, and a pop-up confirmation window will appear on your screen to make sure you want to hide it for real.
- Finally, click on the yellow Archive order button in that pop-up window to proceed with your choice and hide the item.
The moment you have been through these steps, the purchase will instantly vanish from your main history screen. If you ever need to view it again, you can just return to your account page, scroll down to the ordering preferences section, and then select the archived orders option.
