Not that we don’t really know about it, but sometimes we just wish to see how many and who we have as friends on our social media handles. Not only does it help us to keep track of all the people who we have added to our profile as friends, but also helps us get rid of all the accounts we don’t want lurking on our profiles anymore. In this guide, we will discuss how one can see the number of friends they have on Snapchat. We will explore the major methods of doing so that will fetch you the best results.
Can I see the number of friends on my Snapchat account?
Yes, absolutely. However, there is a method of doing the same. The algorithm of Snapchat works differently than other platforms in this respect as it doesn’t show the number of friends that you have on your account. But if you want to have an estimate of that number or anything close, then there are a few methods that you can try. Not every method fetches you the most accurate results, but still, some may work wonders. We will explore them in the next section.
Ways to see the number of friends on Snapchat
There are multiple ways of going around this problem. The few probable ones would be –
Viewing your friends list
For this, you are required to open Snapchat on your device and then log in using your account details. Not visit your profile which will be right there in the corner of the screen.
- Here, you will scroll down to the section that says ‘Friends’.
- Click on it and go to the section of ‘My Friends’.
On opening the list, you will be able to see all your friends on Snapchat. Now, the thing is, if your list is long, it is not really possible to count all of them. But you can still get an estimate. If you have fewer people in your contacts, then you can try counting the numbers as well.
Sharing Location
While this is not the best option for private people, it can be tried if only for once. For this, you are required to –
- Open the Snapchat app and your profile on it and find the icon of location. Once found, click on it.
- From here, visit the ‘Settings’ and then look for the Ghost mode. Disable it if it is enabled and then proceed.
- Choose ‘Only These Friends’ in the settings of your Ghost mode. Change the settings to ‘All’ which will include all the people in your contact. Remember that this is the permission to share your location with all these people throughout! So remember to turn it off once you’re done.
- Save these settings and then exit from here only to visit your profile once again.
- Now open the Snap Map and also see the people you are sharing your location with.
Once done, change the settings to a few friends again, or go totally Ghost mode, as per your wish.
These two are the best ways to see the number of friends that one has on Snapchat.
