Annoyed by the call screening on your phone? Here is how you can turn it off! Follow the guide to know the steps for it, and you’ll be fine. It’s a simple process that will get you to fix the issue. Let’s begin.
What is call screening?
If you’ve ever wondered if you could identify the caller before picking up the call, this is for you! It’s a feature that lets you identify who’s calling and why before you ever pick up. When an unknown number pops up on the screen of your phone, you can trigger an automated assistant to answer for you. The assistant asks the caller for their name and purpose, and you get a real-time transcript of their response on your screen. This is apt and does its job. People usually prefer to dodge the calls of spammers and telemarketers. If it’s actually someone you know, you can continue to pick up the call. If it’s a bot, you just have to click on “Report as Spam,” and it will be sent to a Spam folder.
Steps to turn off call screening
If you have had any trouble with the call screening, especially with things like missing out important calls or people getting offended, you can also choose to turn it off.
Open your Phone App
To begin finding the solution for it, you have to open your Phone App first.
Find the Menu
The menu is where you’ll get the rest. It should be right there, at the top of the screen, behind the three dots.
Settings
Select Settings from the dropdown list that appears. Now look for an option labeled Spam and Call Screen or maybe just Call Screen.
Adjust the Toggle
You can move or change the settings through a simple toggle. If you have a Pixels mod, tap on the Call Screen. You’ll see options for “Unknown Call Settings.” You can set these to “Off” or “Ring Phone” to stop the automated screening process immediately. However, if you use other Androids, you have to look for See caller and spam ID and toggle it off.
Save
Your changes are saved automatically here, and you don’t have to worry about it. You can now back out of the app. Once you have it turned off, your phone will ring every time without screening. If you still prefer that you have to switch it back again, just move the toggle in the other direction.
And that is how you can turn off the screen on a phone.
