Destiny 2 enthusiasts seeking to amplify their powers with the Wish-Keeper bow need to embark on an adventure through the Black Garden. This crowd-control powerhouse becomes even more formidable with the unlockable Wish-Keeper catalysts, enhancing its capabilities for challenging PvE encounters.

The Wish-Keeper’s primary function involves ensnaring foes with Strand traps, compelling them to endure increased damage from the bow itself. While it may not excel at outright annihilation, its efficacy shines against resilient adversaries like Tormentors, minibosses, and shielded Phalanxes.
However, the game takes a thrilling turn with Wish-Keeper’s four catalysts, offering players a strategic array of options. As a craftable exotic weapon, Destiny 2 players can choose from four distinct catalysts, each designed for specific roles. Let’s delve into the intricacies of Wish-Keeper’s catalysts and unravel the steps to obtain them.
Wish-Keeper Catalysts Explained
Wish-Keeper shares commonalities with other seasonal Exotic weapons, boasting modular slots for its catalyst and Intrinsic trait slots. The latter imparts a flat stat bonus akin to a Masterwork upgrade. The four catalysts available for this bow are:
- Enduring Snare Refit:
- Effect: Snareweaver Traps last longer.
- Multi-Threaded Snare Refit:
- Effect: Snareweaver Traps can now suspend more targets.
- Hatchling Refit:
- Effect: Precision or rapid final blows with Wish-Keeper have a chance to spawn a Threadling.
- Vorpal Weapon Refit:
- Effect: Wish-Keeper deals 20% more damage to bosses, vehicles, and Guardians using their Super (~40% increase in PvP).
Distinguishing itself from Revision Zero and the Exotic glaive Vexcalibur, Wish-Keeper offers two catalyst options directly enhancing its Exotic perk, Snareweaver. This unique perk enables the bow to accumulate energy upon scoring Precision hits and final blows. Once the energy reaches its zenith, firing a shot from the hip unleashes a Snareweaver arrow, creating a pattern of Strand Suspend traps upon impact.
The beauty of Snareweaver lies in its versatility, as players aren’t constrained to using their Strand subclass for enemy suspension. This flexibility opens avenues for cross-element build crafting. Even with the Hatchling and Vorpal Weapon catalysts in play, Wish-Keeper can seamlessly integrate into a fireteam, serving as a dedicated anti-champion weapon with its innate Suspend and Anti-Unstoppable trait.
The Quests to be Followed for Wish-Keeper Catalysts
As of the Season of the Wish, unlocking Wish-Keeper’s Catalysts involves undertaking quests granted by the NPC Mara Sov. These quests become accessible only after obtaining the bow. Head to the HELM and engage with Mara Sov to initiate the Constellation quests. These quests lead players back to the Starcrossed mission, requiring completion in Legend difficulty to shoot constellations with Wish-Keeper.
As of the current date, three catalysts can be unlocked through this questline.
Constellations Locations
- Constellation: Tower Location
The first constellation awaits near the mission’s inception. Traverse the initial platforming section, reaching the first outdoor area. Move towards the bridge leading to the Taken Gate, then look right. A rocky outcrop with a beam of light on top beckons. Ascend to the beam and interact to unveil stars in the sky. Skillfully shoot the stars with the Wish-Keeper until the Tower constellation takes form. Claim the inscription to complete the quest step, then defeat the final boss to unlock the catalyst.
- Constellation: Lock
Venture beyond the Starcrossed mission into the Spine of Keres area in the Dreaming City. From the Divalian Mists, navigate past the Corsair camp and proceed through the alcove to the northern cliffside, entering the Spine of Keres. From the round arena leading to the tower, veer left until a faint beam of light emerges in the distance. Activate it and commence shooting stars with the bow to fashion the constellation. Subsequently, conquer Starcrossed on Legend difficulty to progress.
- Constellation: Pair Location
The third constellation hides in a concealed area following the second encounter of Starcrossed. Upon completing the jumping section inside the chasm, reach an area with an orange buff pool. Facing away from the pool, turn right, hugging the wall. Spot a hole in the corner and enter to unveil the message revealing Constellation Pair. Once again, unleash the power of the Wish-Keeper on the stars and finalize Starcrossed to unlock the Vorpal Weapon catalyst for Wish-Keeper.
