How to Upload Files to Spotify
TwitterWhatsappLinkedin

Spotify has completely changed the way we listen to music by putting a huge song library at our fingertips. Although users can submit their own music files, Spotify mostly uses licenced content from record labels. With the use of this function, you can have access to a customised music library that is larger than Spotify’s library. We’ll walk you through the file uploading process on Spotify in this guide, so you can easily add your favourite songs to your playlists.

Check File Compatibility

It’s crucial to make sure your files fit Spotify’s compatibility standards before you begin uploading them. Spotify is compatible with multiple file formats, such as MP3, M4P (unless it is a video file), and MP4 (if it is an audio-only video file). Additionally, confirm that the maximum of 3,333 tracks per device and 300 MB per track is not exceeded by your files.

Getting into Your Spotify Account

You must first get into your Spotify account in order to submit files. Launch the desktop version of Spotify or go to the official website, then enter your login information. Create an account if you don’t already have one before continuing.

Go to Your Library

After logging in, go to the “Library” section located at the top of the web player’s page or on the desktop app’s left sidebar.

Make a New Playlist

You must first make a playlist in order to upload your files. Give your playlist a name after clicking the “Create playlist” button. Your uploaded files will be contained in this playlist.

Add Local Files to Your Playlist

Select the “…” (ellipsis) button in your playlist after it has been created. Take note of the dropdown menu and choose “Add Local Files.” Moreover, files can be dropped straight into the playlist pane using drag & drop.

Choose Which Files to Upload

Selecting the files you wish to upload will be possible through a new window that opens. Go to where your computer stores your music files, then pick the ones you want to add to Spotify.

Rearrange Track Order and Save

After adding the files, you can drag and drop the tracks to change the playlist’s order. Once you’ve arranged the songs how you see fit, click “Save” to link the uploaded files and your playlist to your Spotify account.

Sync Your Playlist to Your Devices

Ensure that all of your devices are linked to the same Wi-Fi network in order to access your uploaded files on other devices. To sync the playlist and its contents to your device, open the Spotify app on your smartphone or tablet, navigate to the playlist, and turn on the “Download” switch.

In conclusion, you may customise your music experience on Spotify by uploading files, which is a simple process. You may easily incorporate your own songs, indie releases, and rare tunes into your Spotify playlists with this tool. If you follow these instructions, you can quickly enjoy both the extensive Spotify library and your own carefully chosen music collection.
