Are you a college football fan excited to catch all the action on ESPN’s College GameDay but don’t have a cable subscription? No worries! There are plenty of ways to watch College GameDay without cable in 2024, thanks to the rise of streaming services. Here’s a guide to help you get your Saturday mornings filled with pregame insights, predictions, and the excitement of live college football coverage.

KEYPOINT: During the football season, College GameDay airs on ESPN and ESPNU from 9 a.m. to noon ET. It may also be streamed via the ESPN App. Every week at 8:30 a.m. ET, ESPN’s pre-game social and digital show Countdown to College GameDay airs on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the ESPN App.

Live TV Streaming Services

Several live TV streaming services offer ESPN and its programming, including College GameDay. These platforms allow you to stream the show live just as you would with cable, often with the flexibility of lower costs and no contracts. Below are the top options:

  1. YouTube TV: YouTube TV provides access to over 100 channels, including ESPN, which broadcasts College GameDay. At around $72.99 per month, it offers unlimited DVR storage and the ability to watch on multiple devices. You can also try a free trial to see if it fits your viewing needs.
  2. Hulu + Live TV: Hulu + Live TV offers ESPN as part of its base plan for around $76.99 per month. You’ll also get access to Hulu’s on-demand library, which is packed with movies and TV shows, in addition to live sports. It includes DVR functionality to record College GameDay if you can’t watch live.
  3. Sling TV: Sling TV offers a more affordable option with its Sling Orange plan, which includes ESPN, priced at $40 per month. While it doesn’t offer as many channels as some other services, it’s a great budget-friendly option for college football fans.
  4. FuboTV: FuboTV is known for its sports-heavy content, making it a solid option for watching College GameDay. While FuboTV originally didn’t offer ESPN, it now includes the network as part of its base package at $74.99 per month. FuboTV is also known for its extensive cloud DVR capabilities, which allow you to record games or College GameDay episodes.

ESPN App

Using the ESPN app is another simple method to watch College GameDay. You must authenticate with a subscription from any of the streaming services mentioned above, or from any other source that includes ESPN, in order to access College GameDay via the app. Catch replays and highlights with the app as well.

ESPN+ (Access Only)

ESPN+ provides a plethora of extra college football programming, such as highlights, analysis, and on-demand replays, even though it doesn’t live stream College GameDay. At $9.99 a month, ESPN+ is a valuable addition to your streaming library if you’re an avid sports lover.

Antenna for Supplementary Local Games

If you primarily want to watch College GameDay to follow your favourite teams or local games, you can add an HD antenna to your streaming package. You won’t be able to watch ESPN with this, but you will be able to see a lot of local games that are shown on ABC and CBS.

Examine your party options

College GameDay is streamed for guests of numerous eateries, pubs, and college sports fan centres. A few even throw exclusive watch parties in honour of the college football team. To have a social experience, gather your friends and visit a nearby location where the show is being streamed!

In summary

In 2024, College GameDay can be enjoyed without a cable subscription. You can watch all the college football action from anywhere with a number of live TV streaming providers that offer ESPN. Any of the four services—YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, or FuboTV—offers extra features and flexibility that make the decision to cut the cord simple. Take advantage of the free trial period, prepare your team uniform, and relish the beginning of each college football Saturday!
