A Landmark Collaboration for Seamless Operations

Noida International Airport (NIA) has signed a 30-year concession agreement with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in a major step to guarantee operational excellence. This collaboration will help NIA’s goal of establishing a premier aviation center for Northern India by ensuring continuous access to first-rate fueling services throughout the airport’s grounds. As NIA gets ready to launch operations in 2025, the agreement represents a significant turning point in the organization’s operational preparedness process.

Fueling the Future: Strategic Locations for Efficiency

Under the terms of the agreement, IOCL will establish and operate three state-of-the-art fuel stations at key locations within the airport premises:

Passenger Access Point: One station will be situated near the main western access road, catering primarily to passengers and visitors, ensuring convenient and efficient fueling services.

Operational Support: A second station will be located airside, dedicated to fueling airport operations, including ground vehicles and equipment vital to day-to-day functioning.

Cargo Hub: The third station will be near the eastern cargo precinct, strategically placed to support the fueling needs of cargo vehicles, further bolstering the airport’s logistics capabilities.

These strategically positioned fuel stations will enhance the overall efficiency and convenience for passengers, airport staff, and cargo operators alike.

Leadership Perspectives: A Shared Vision

The CEO of Noida International Airport, Christoph Schnellmann, discussed the relationship and underlined its significance in accomplishing NIA’s overarching goal: “Our partnership with Indian Oil Corporation marks another milestone in NIA’s journey to operational readiness.” We will guarantee smooth and effective fuelling services at the airport by collaborating with one of India’s most reputable gasoline suppliers. The construction of Noida International Airport as the entry point to Northern India has advanced with this development.

“Indian Oil is proud to work with Noida International Airport to create an unmatched experience for travelers,” said Sumeet Munshi, Divisional Retail Sales Head at IOCL’s Noida Divisional Office, echoing this attitude. Our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and client convenience is demonstrated by this partnership. We are supporting the region’s expanding infrastructure needs in addition to providing for customers by establishing these gas stations.

Designed for Excellence: Safety and Innovation

The planned fuel stations will adhere to global safety standards, ensuring both operational efficiency and passenger safety. Designed to align with NIA’s vision of creating a world-class aviation hub, these facilities will incorporate advanced technologies and sustainable practices, making them a model of modern fueling infrastructure.

This initiative reflects NIA’s commitment to innovation and efficiency, reinforcing its role as a key enabler of growth in the region’s aviation and logistics sectors.

Driving Regional Growth and Connectivity

As NIA gears up to redefine air travel and logistics in Northern India, its focus on intermodal connectivity and infrastructure development is evident. The collaboration with IOCL will ensure the airport meets the rising demands of passengers and businesses, positioning it as a pivotal player in the region’s growth story.

Set to commence operations in 2025, NIA is poised to enhance connectivity for millions of travelers while serving as a logistics hub for cargo operators. Its strategic location, combined with cutting-edge infrastructure, makes it a critical addition to India’s rapidly expanding aviation landscape.

Sustainability and Convenience: A Shared Commitment

Both NIA and IOCL share a commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. IOCL’s experience in providing reliable, high-quality fuel services aligns perfectly with NIA’s mission to create a seamless and sustainable travel experience. From reducing operational inefficiencies to supporting the region’s environmental goals, this partnership exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to infrastructure development.
