Apple iPhone 17 Air: The Thinnest iPhone Ever?

Apple fans, save the dates! Word has it that the new iPhone 17 Air will be launched in 2025. This one could be the slimmest iPhone ever. As per a report by South Korea’s Sisa Journal, the iPhone 17 Air could be around 6.25mm in thickness-dramatically reduced from the iPhone 16’s 7.88mm. It, indeed, was going to be the thinnest iPhone of all time, even beating the iPhone 6 which came in at 6.9mm.

Slim Design, Smart Features

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to maintain Apple’s signature blend of style and functionality. Rumours suggest it will include:

  • An A19 chipset for faster performance.
  • 8GB RAM, optimized for advanced Apple Intelligence.
  • A 6.6-inch display for a sleek yet immersive experience.
  • A single 48-megapixel rear camera, focusing on high-quality basics over premium Pro features.

To achieve its ultra-slim design, Apple might compromise on some features, but it’s clear the focus is on elegance and portability.

Price and Competition

The iPhone 17 Air could replace the Plus model in Apple’s lineup, with pricing similar to the iPhone 16 Plus, starting at $899. This move positions the Air as a mid-range option for users wanting a thin, stylish smartphone without breaking the bank.

Meanwhile, Apple isn’t alone in the race for slim devices. Samsung is reportedly developing the Galaxy S25 Slim, expected to debut in mid-2025. Rumours suggest it will be in the mid-6mm range, giving the iPhone 17 Air tough competition.

Will the Slim Design Hold Up?

Apple fans may recall the controversy around the bending issue with the iPhone 6. Let’s hope Apple has addressed durability concerns this time, ensuring the iPhone 17 Air is both thin and robust.

2025 looks set to be the year of slim smartphones, and the iPhone 17 Air is leading the charge. Stay tuned for updates on this sleek innovation from Apple!
