Jumbotail, which is a wholesale marketplace for the grocery and food products, has now secured INR 90 crore in a funding round of Series B led by the Heron Rock to fuel its expansion plans.
The funding also reveals active participation from the BNK Ventures, William Jarvis, Capria Fund and some other existing investors Kalaari Capital and Nexus Venture Partners.
JumboTail provides the services which include the mobile-based ordering application for the Kirana Stores, an integrated supply chain network and even the last mile storefront delivery service. The startup also provides an integration with the Point of Sales terminals, which helps the retailers in the unorganized sector to run their business with the latest technology.
“We have built supply chain and delivery capabilities to serve kirana stores at a large scale with the widest selection of staples and FMCG products. The top FMCG brands and staples producers in the country work directly with Jumbotail as we provide them with capabilities that none of their other channels offer,” said Jhina, the venture’s chief operating officer.
