March 5, 2015: MySmartPrice, India’s leading product discovery and online price comparison shopping platform has launched an offline price comparison service for mobile stores. Initially introduced for customers in Hyderabad, the visitors at MySmartPrice can enjoy the added advantage of comparing the prices of mobile phones from local stores around them.

MySmartPrice has tied up with over 300 offline mobile stores in Hyderabad and Secunderabad including Sangeetha Mobiles, The Mobile Store, Big C, Yes Mart, RSG etc. Consumers can search and compare prices, discounts and deals being offered on mobile phone models by all the offline retailers listed on their site.

MySmartPrice has devised a unique filtering method through which the prices of products from shops closest to the user’s location will be displayed. With the launch of this service, consumers in Hyderabad can find the best bargains on mobile phones in their vicinity.

Sitakanta Ray, Co-founder, MySmartPrice said, “It is often observed that customers waste a lot of their precious time by browsing through innumerable stores to find the best product and price. Prices of phones vary significantly in offline stores and is dependent on the bargaining power of the customer. Through strong partnerships with stores, we ensure that customers get the price that only the best bargainers can get. This will not only save customers time and effort but also help them make an informed choice every time they buy a product.”

At present, the service is targeted towards shoppers in Hyderabad and will soon expand to top Indian cities gradually.

MySmartPrice is a leading product discovery and price comparison-shopping platform in India enabling consumers to discover the best products across a wide array of categories that include Mobiles, Electronics, Computers, Fashion and Lifestyle, Cameras, Books, Appliances and Personal Care. Founded by Sitakanta Ray and Sulakshan Kumar, who gave up their corporate careers to become entrepreneurs, MySmartPrice aspires to become a destination site with the goal of creating the best online shopping research and discovery platform. MySmartPrice aims to bring all e-retail stores and products on to a single window, which gives shoppers a wider choice of products when looking for merchandise online.

The company recently raised Series A funding of $1 million from Helion Venture Partners and Accel Partners.
