By keeping the Xterra below $40,000, Nissan is aiming straight at shoppers comparing entry-level off-roaders. Nissan is also changing how it approaches product development. Meunier admitted the brand may have added too much unnecessary technology and too many features in recent years, driving up prices without delivering what buyers truly wanted.
