OnePlus Acts Lifetime Warranty for Green Line Display Problems

OnePlus now takes another big step to showcase the most frustrating problem of the green line display to the extent of making it a lifetime warranty for the device affected by that issue for its users. Not just that, OnePlus has also increased AMOLED durability to the fullest using advanced technologies and rigorous testing protocols, thereby addressing the green line concern once and for all.

The Never-ending Green Line Problem

The green line on the screen, one of the most common issues in OLED screens, has had its share of OnePlus woes, especially in India. This sort of glitch in panel display appears on the phone screen as typically as a vertical green line running across it, rendering it hardly usable and taking it away from the aesthetics part. Several flagship devices have reported this problem, and last year it was highlighted due to the increasing cases coming in.

In the last round, OnePlus touched some users with a part of the problem with free screen replacements and discount vouchers for a few selected regions. Now, the much stronger pioneering approach that goes open is the “Green Line Worry-Free Solution” program which covers a lifetime warranty for all devices suffering from this problem.

OnePlus Green line issue

A Complete Solution: Lifetime Warranty

In addition to a strong three-step approach to address the green line phenomenon, OnePlus has introduced a lifetime warranty for affected devices. This applies across new and old models alike, ensuring a permanent solution for users on their devices.

The company knows that the green line is not the reason for one cause but many different causes. In order to mitigate these, OnePlus has tried to improve the durability and reliability of its AMOLED displays.

Enhanced AMOLED durability with the PVX edge seal

To prevent the recurrence of the green lines, OnePlus has improved the AMOLED screens with enhanced bonding using PVX edge-seal technology. This prevents the ingress of moisture and oxygen, both moisture and oxygen, being the two major contributors to display degeneration. As a result, the screens are longer lasting and much sharper.

Now OnePlus also puts its AMOLED displays to the test for more than 180 rigorous tests with real-world extreme conditions. With this new improvement, the display now has the next level of reliability and continues to reinforce the brand’s commitment to quality.

Geographical Limitations of Lifetime Warranty

At present, the lifetime warranty scheme is only available to customers in India, where the issue of green lines has been more pronounced. Users in the U.S. and Europe still receive the standard one- or two-year warranty as per their region’s policy. However, such regional restrictions are subject to changes as the company will collect feedback and study the impact of the program.

Assistance for Older Devices

OnePlus has extended its help to older models as well. In this case, as the spare parts are unavailable for these models, the company can offer upgrade vouchers to allow users to buy the latest OnePlus models at reduced prices. Therefore, users of all ages have viable solutions at their disposal.

A Move Towards Greater Satisfaction from the User Side

With such a lifetime warranty alongside enhanced AMOLED technology, OnePlus reaffirms its commitment to the consumer by tackling the entire issue of the green line. This all avails better dependability on the devices. Moreover, it strengthens the image the brand holds as one that listens and takes care of issues raised by the customers.

It’s an excellent lifetime warranty program for Indian users, indeed a long-standing problem. On the other hand, other countries are expecting more life support and enhancements of AMOLEDs’ durability.

At this stage, OnePlus has already set the best benchmarks in the smartphone industry, keeping in consideration the quality and customer trust simultaneously. If you have ever suffered the green line problem, now might be the right time to check for yourself the advantages that OnePlus has to offer with these latest initiatives.
