OnePlus Open 2 Set to Outshine Galaxy Fold 6 with Invisible Crease

The highly anticipated OnePlus Open 2, internationally known as the Oppo Find N5, is set to redefine the foldable smartphone market. A newly released teaser suggests that this device could surpass the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 with its nearly invisible crease and advanced durability. With a launch expected within the next two weeks, the foldable competition is heating up.

Near-Invisible Crease: A Game-Changer

Oppo’s Chief Product Officer, Pete Lau, recently shared an image comparing the Oppo Find N5 to another foldable, likely the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The image highlights the Oppo Find N5’s superior crease design, reinforcing the brand’s legacy of innovation.

In our previous OnePlus Open review, we praised its screen for having a barely noticeable crease. The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to refine this feature even further, offering a seamless display experience that outperforms its competitors.

Bigger and Better Display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 7.6-inch main display, whereas the previous OnePlus Open had a 7.82-inch panel. With the OnePlus Open 2, Oppo is expected to push boundaries once again, offering an even more immersive display that enhances usability and entertainment.

Enhanced Waterproofing and Durability

Durability is a key focus for the OnePlus Open 2. According to Lau, the upcoming foldable will be “immensely durable, rain or shine.” This suggests improved waterproofing, potentially exceeding previous OnePlus and Oppo foldables. Other executives have also confirmed waterproofing as one of the phone’s standout features.

Additionally, rumours suggest that the OnePlus Open 2 will be thinner than the latest M4 iPad Pro, making it one of the sleekest foldable phones available.

Camera & Performance Upgrades

Leaks hint at significant camera enhancements over the previous OnePlus Open, likely improving low-light performance and image stabilization. A processor upgrade is also expected, positioning the OnePlus Open 2 as a top-tier foldable competitor.

Expected Launch Date

The Oppo Find N5 (OnePlus Open 2) is expected to launch around February 19 or 20, with a global release planned. While Oppo will handle the Asian markets, OnePlus will likely bring the Open 2 to international consumers later in 2025.

Final Thoughts

With its near-invisible crease, enhanced durability, larger display, and camera improvements, the OnePlus Open 2 could set a new standard for foldable smartphones. Stay tuned for official launch details and in-depth reviews.
