Online classifieds firm Quikr India Pvt. Ltd has acquired Mumbai-based Rejuvenate Solutions Pvt. Ltd, which runs online home services marketplace Zimmber in a $10 million all-stock deal as per the report by The Mint.
As a part of the acquisition co-founder Amit Kumar and Chief Product Officer Siddhartha Srivastava along with the team will continue to work with the company under the umbrella of Quikr. Other co-founders, Anubhab Goel and Gaurav Shrivastava will move out to pursue other interests.
Zimmber was founded in 2014 by Anubhab Goel, Gaurav Shrivastava, and Amit Kumar. Zimmber provides home services like home painting, AC services, plumbing, carpentry, and home cleaning, among others. The company, currently operating in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune, has about 1,500 service personnel on its platform
Amit Kumar, co-founder of Zimmber said, “In addition to the synergies between Zimmber and QuikrServices, we also see a great opportunity in offering our services to users in other Quikr verticals such as QuikrHomes, QuikrC2C, and QuikrCars. Together, we will be serving a larger customer base with varied demands to bring more trust and efficiency to hyperlocal services market.”
Previously, In January 2016, Quikr announced it had acquired the real estate portal commonfloor.com in a $200 million all-stock deal. Quikr had also acquired 3 other home beauty start-ups Zalosa, Zapluk and Stayglad in quick succession last year.
