Bengaluru-based AI infrastructure startup Simplismart has raised $14 million (approximately ₹117 crore) in a Series B funding round led by Dallas Venture Capital (DVC), with participation from NVIDIA, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax. The all-primary funding round values the company at around $100 million, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to build infrastructure for the growing artificial intelligence industry.
Founded in 2022 by Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, Simplismart develops software that helps businesses deploy, manage and scale artificial intelligence models more efficiently. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its international presence, particularly in the US, strengthen its engineering team and further develop its AI inference and orchestration platform.

Simplismart Targets Rising AI Infrastructure Costs
As businesses increasingly integrate generative AI into their products and operations, the infrastructure required to run these models has become an expensive proposition. GPUs, which power the processing of complex AI workloads, can account for a substantial portion of deployment costs.
Simplismart aims to address this challenge through its AI inference platform, which sits between AI models and the computing infrastructure required to operate them. Its software helps companies deploy, fine-tune, monitor and scale AI models while optimising GPU utilisation.
The platform determines how different AI workloads should be executed based on requirements such as processing speed, latency, throughput and cost. This allows businesses to improve performance without necessarily increasing their computing infrastructure expenditure.
The company claims its technology helped AI video generation platform InVideo reduce GPU serving costs by 56%. Other customers include AI video platforms HeyGen and Higgsfield, along with enterprise AI startup Ema.
Indian cloud infrastructure provider Yotta also uses Simplismart’s technology to power the serverless inference layer of its Shakti Studio platform.
NVIDIA’s Participation Strengthens Strategic Ties
NVIDIA’s participation in the funding round is particularly noteworthy given the company’s position in the global GPU and AI computing market.
While NVIDIA is primarily known for manufacturing GPUs and developing the computing platforms that power artificial intelligence, Simplismart focuses on making these resources more efficient for businesses deploying AI applications.
The relationship between the two companies extends beyond the investment. NVIDIA has been working with Simplismart’s engineering team on technical integrations involving its inference software. The chipmaker has also helped the startup connect with potential customers and strategic partners.
The companies are additionally exploring opportunities in sovereign AI infrastructure. This segment focuses on enabling countries, cloud providers and enterprises to operate AI infrastructure while retaining greater control over where their models, computing workloads and data are hosted.
Simplismart aims to help cloud providers transform their GPU infrastructure into managed AI services, making it easier for businesses to access computing resources without building and maintaining their own infrastructure.

Revenue Grows 14-Fold As Simplismart Expands Overseas
Simplismart’s latest funding comes amid strong growth in demand for AI infrastructure solutions. The company says its annualised revenue run rate increased 14-fold over the past six months, reaching an eight-figure figure.
More than half of its revenue now comes from the US, even though India accounts for a larger share of its customer base. This highlights the company’s growing international business and the opportunity it sees in overseas markets.
Simplismart currently employs 58 people. Its co-founders bring experience from major technology companies, with CEO Amritanshu Jain having previously worked at Oracle and Devansh Ghatak having worked at Google. The two met while studying at BITS Pilani before establishing the startup in 2022.
With the new funding, Simplismart plans to increase its presence in the US and other international markets, expand its workforce and continue developing its inference and orchestration technology.
The funding round reflects a broader shift in the AI industry, where attention is moving beyond developing increasingly powerful models towards making them affordable and practical to operate at scale. As GPU demand and AI infrastructure spending continue to rise, companies like Simplismart are positioning themselves to address one of the industry’s biggest challenges: reducing the cost of running artificial intelligence.
