TCS partners with JDA Software to develop cognitive supply chain

Tata Consultancy Services, which is an Indian IT service firm has now collaborated with the US-based software company JDA software to jointly develop cognitive solutions for the supply chains and provide with the consulting and system integration services for the customers across the globe.

Cognitive technologies are a product of AI. TCS also said in a report that the solutions will use its Machine First delivery model to accelerate the human-machine collaboration to solve the complex business problems at the time of delivering the multifold productivity improvements and transforming the customer experience.

The Machine First Model is based on the principle of converting data inputs from the multiple sources into a single thread for the machine to solve and understand.

TCS also revealed that it will set up an end to end the cognitive supply chain lab at its business solutions lab in Ohio to develop the quick proofs of concept.

The development comes a month after TCS launched a new version of its cloud based Agile DevOps products to support the large scale planning and the delivery of applications.
