Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) is expected to report its first profit decline in two years when it announces its second-quarter earnings on Wednesday, marking a significant shift after a period of robust financial growth. In the July-September period, hybrids accounted for an impressive 41% of Toyota’s global sales, a jump from 33% in the same quarter the previous year, with Lexus—Toyota’s luxury brand—also contributing significantly.
