Impressive Range with Smarter Battery Choices

At the heart of the update is a new 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, pushing the XLE Front-Wheel Drive Plus model to an estimated 314 miles per charge, a 25% increase over previous versions. Drivers can also opt for a standard 57.7-kWh battery with a 236-mile range, ensuring options for every lifestyle and budget.

Charging is now more seamless, thanks to the addition of the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port and Plug & Charge capability, offering compatibility with thousands of fast-charging stations and eliminating the hassle of multiple apps. Under ideal conditions, the bZ can fast charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.

Electrified Performance with AWD Power Boost

The 2026 bZ AWD model benefits from upgraded silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors in its compact eAxles, delivering a thrilling 338 horsepower a 50% jump allowing it to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. Front-wheel drive models now produce a respectable 221 horsepower, enhancing everyday responsiveness.

Drivers can also fine-tune their experience using steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for regenerative braking, or engage X-MODE with Grip-Control on AWD trims to optimize traction and stability on rough or slippery terrain.

Reimagined Cabin with Premium Comfort

Step inside the 2026 bZ and you’ll find a tech-forward interior with a 14-inch multimedia touchscreen, customizable 64-color ambient lighting, and dual wireless charging pads. Toyota hasn’t forgotten comfort either, standard features now include heated SofTex®-trimmed seats and steering wheel, and available options include ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a cozy radiant foot heater.

The updated cabin also boasts increased cargo flexibility (27.7 cu. ft.) and spacious rear seating with 35.3 inches of legroom.

Bold Yet Functional Design

The 2026 Toyota bZ receives a sleek exterior update featuring a refined front fascia, slimmer LED lighting, and color-matched overfenders for a more cohesive appearance. Available in eye-catching two-tone paint options like Wind Chill Pearl, Heavy Metal, and Black, the bZ blends form with aerodynamic function.

Intelligent Connected Experience

Toyota’s 14-inch Audio Multimedia system, developed in the U.S., powers every trim with voice-activated Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and real-time traffic updates via Drive Connect. Wireless Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, dual Bluetooth pairing, and integrated streaming apps make entertainment effortless. Audiophiles can upgrade to a JBL® Premium Audio system with nine speakers and an 800-watt amplifier.

The optional Toyota Digital Key lets drivers unlock, start, and share access using only a smartphone, perfect for families and car-sharing needs.

Enhanced Safety with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0

Every 2026 bZ model comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, offering advanced features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection, and Road Sign Assist.
