Unacademy which is an Education Technology startup has now secured $50 Million in the funding round of Series D led by the Hong Kong-based hedge fund SteadView Capital, along with some of the existing backers Sequoia Capital, Blume Ventures, and Nexus Ventures Partner indicating rising investor interest in backing growth stage education platforms.
Unacademy founders Roman Saini and Gaurav Munjal also participated in the funding round, along with some of the existing investors Sujeet Kumar and Aakrit Vaish.
The company also has plans to use the funds to onboard more educators, fuel growth across some of the multiple exam categories and build some of the robust product and technology team.
Unacademy is a platform that helps to connect the expert educators with the students who are looking for quality education. The company as of now has more than 14 Million learners.
