Over the years, Call of Duty: Warzone has experienced several changes, and new battle royale maps are available to play every year in Call of Duty games. Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 and the all-new Urzikstan map were just distributed to gamers. Some gamers are curious as to whether other Warzone maps may resurface at some time, even though the Urzikstan map and Warzone Season 1 gameplay were warmly welcomed. Although we are aware that the beloved Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will be back in “early 2024,” people are more interested in Warzone’s first map.
By far the most beloved Warzone map to date, Verdansk may be making a significant comeback with the release of the upcoming premium Call of Duty game, according to a new report from industry insider Tom Henderson published on December 8. Henderson claims that Verdansk will be the large Warzone map associated with the integration of Call of Duty 2024, which is purportedly called the Black Ops Gulf War. Although the precise release date of the map is yet unknown, Henderson stated that Black Ops Gulf War Season 1 will see Verdansk return in accordance with the conventional Warzone “main map” release timetable.
How should one anticipate Verdansk in a war zone?
It is said that Verdansk will return on December 10, 2024. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty’s Black Ops story will be returning in the upcoming year. A previous source also said that the game will be focused on the Gulf War in the 1990s. In addition, a version of the map from the 1990s including the Warzone’s Black Ops Cold War integration has been shown. Veterans of Call of Duty who experienced the Verdansk at the start of Warzone may recall that the map underwent many upgrades every season. Every season added something new to the map, from the Stadium’s debut to the existence of an entire subterranean metro system.
Verdansk was a significant component of the mythology in Black Ops: Cold War, much as it was in Modern Warfare (2019). The game would take place in between the Cold War and Modern Warfare’s timeframe if the Gulf War is the next Black Ops game. Because the map links the games from before and after, it would thus be a natural match for the lore.
The official announcement from Call of Duty states that Warzone will feature both of the Resurgence maps from the original game. Given that Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island will both formally return in 2024, Activision appears to be putting a lot of emphasis on nostalgia in the CoD battle royale.
