Mumbai-based Zipgrid has raised $200,000 in equity funding. The investment was raised via crowdfunding platform 1Crowd.
Zipgrid provides services management software for housing societies and communities. The company was founded by Jaydip Popat and Kunal Gupta, and has operations in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It aims at providing economical tech driven solutions in areas of accounting, finance, compliance and control management.
“Around 72% of consuming households in India reside in top 49 urban agglomerations and two-thirds of these households are part of organised housing communities. We are preparing ourselves to take on the untapped opportunity of collective consumption at the gates of these communities by creating value for stakeholders,” said Kunal Gupta, co-founder, Zipgrid.
1Crowd is a sector-agonistic platform that co-invests and engages with portfolio companies in areas of organisation building, strategy, sales and marketing.
